<DIV>Ok, solo'ing in EL today I was practicing some combinations to see what I thought worked best. This is what I came up with.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ok, try to charm atleast a yellow V con mob if you wanna fight yellow cons. Preferably for this strategy, a mob that can heal itself to some degree. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ok, for fighter and scout mobs, here is the strat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Step 1 Root</DIV> <DIV>Step 2 Sybillant, Haruspex, or Magus. Whichever u use at ur level.</DIV> <DIV>Step 3 Send in pet.</DIV> <DIV>Step 4 Root DD, Interrupt DD with Root DD for HO, or just normal Root as long as the mob doesnt move.</DIV> <DIV>Step 5 When sybillant runs out, cast it again unless its not ready yet. If it isnt ready pull ur pet out immediately until it is.</DIV> <DIV>Step 6 With the right pet, if its been beaten into orange yet it will start healing itself after u pull it out of the fight.</DIV> <DIV>Step 7 Send pet BACK in as soon as you get Sybillant recasted on the enemy mob.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rinse repeat and vary with step 4 as needed. If ur pets taking really hard hits, use the HO, if u feel the root might break, use root again or if its not ready yet maybe just use the DD root.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ok, I realize every mob isnt a melee or scout, so here is the strat for caster types.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For caster types u want to add this step</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Caster Step: Silence+Power drain stun</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>about twice as early in the fight as possible. Somewhere between 60 and 40% of the enemy mobs HP u can have its power at zero usually.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For ranger type mobs, just die. j/k try to use your DOT's after ur pet gets some aggro then quickly use syb and ur DD HO with root for finish in succession as fast as u can once the mob hits about 85% hp. After this u should pretty much have won, if not hit him with another syb and ur interrupt DD. If its not dead yet, ur facing too tough of mobs for the best exp rate I think and u should scale down.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Another thing I found while doing some work in EL was that when I asked in ooc for anyone that was bored and doing nothing to petition to get enchanters fixed. I was met with hostility. Mostly I remember this idiotic comment "DUDE [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] YOUVE GOT CONJ-LIKE NUKES AND A PET AND U THINK UR NERF LOL" as if conj like nukes + worse pet than conj makes us as good with some kinda fuzzy math?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh, also, I charmed an even orange con pet and its really a waist. Don't risk it. I suggest nerver charming above yellow and yellow V unless absolutely required as in the zone is ALL orange or something. Also, try to never charm anything with ^, as has been stated up arrow mobs are just a complete waist of resources and a needless risk.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, using the strategy I posted on mostly melee mobs I was able to do yellow ^ and even orange cons when I needed to. Lots of resists made it hard, but if you can just land syb and root u can usually do these guys if u must, although I suggest never doing higher than an even yellow unless you absolutely must as a break in these situations will almost always result in death or serious downtime and usually the loss of ur pet completely.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, horribly dissapointing was when I faced my orange pet against an even yellow con mob....THE YELLOW WON! Sure I am only using app3 coercer atm and have not upgraded to adept1 beguile, but I would think atleast that if we charmed an entire con over that they would atleast match up evenly but the yellow con won by almost a whole bubble. Its really messed up and the risk vs reward ends at yellow con. Anything higher is almost no reward and much higher risk.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, remember that sure casters are great and do great DPS but they will cast on YOU when the break comes so try not to get a caster pet with any slow spells as these can get u killed every time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Nuthin else for now guys, take care all fellow coercers, cya later I'm goin to get some ZZZzzZZzZzZZzzzzZZZ's</DIV>

I grab a yellow-con no-arrow pet if at all possible. Priest mobs are best, because (as has been covered many times before) they have nice nukes, still do good melee, and can heal themselves. I like to send in my pet first. As soon as it gets one hit in, I cast my two dots (which shouldn't steal aggro unless you have a really weak-hitting pet), then Magus, start HO and root+nuke, splitpaw nuke to finish off HO, and if the mob isn't dead (or almost dead) I'll toss in another couple nukes or a root if needed. If you do all these in quick succession, the root+nuke will usually go off before you've stolen aggro from the pet, and the mob will often be dead before the root portion wears off, and if not will probably be pretty close so you can either root again or just take a couple hits and nuke it down. I wouldn't recommend v pets if you can avoid them, they retain their low HP when you charm them and die too fast. I try not to get anything under a white no-arrow, preferably a yellow (2-3 levels above me) no-arrow, but I'll even usually take a blue no-arrow before a white or yellow down-arrow. And definitely upgrade that charm spell. I'm only using an Adept 1, but even at that level a pet will be able to win against an identical mob without any help. Dominate is first on my list to upgrade though, and I just bought a couple rubies tonight so it shouldn't be long. PigLick <div></div>

<DIV>Depending on type yellow mob you about to fight</DIV> <DIV>But in general let pet build the agro first (usuall 1 cast from pet will do it). Do not hesitate to use your stuns as much as possible and so is stifle and bear in mind that Silence line will not prevent normal melee attack from mob so Magus will go off more frequently</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My best result was using blue conned shamaner lvl 51 vs orange conned lunatics/prophets lvl 56 in PoF - it worked just fine as long as you not out agro your pet</DIV>

<DIV>anyone else notice all the vv^^vv^^ around? i can hardly ever find a mob without arrows of some sort....really makes it a pain to try to solo when u gotta cover half the zone to get that 1 even con mob instead of spending all that time leveling like others. Speaking of which, why ARE there so many arrows? I mean...couldny level 27^ just be an even 28 or 29? and can't a level 32V just be a 31 or 30?</DIV>
