<DIV>Ok, so here is my idea. I've been around these coercer forums and met some particularly colorful, intelligent, and funny people that share my taste in class selection. So, given the talent we have here, I have an idea. Since our voice is obviously NOT being heard, I suggest we REVOLT!! Tear SOE LIMB FROM LIMB! WIELD OUR WEAPONS! WAGE WARRRRR!!!! But, then I would miss my afternoon nap and you <STRONG>know</STRONG> how cranky that makes me. Plus just under my eyes gets all puffy :smileysad:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, what I suggest is that we launch our own little PR campaign! Yes, the one place where it hurts! Publicity! We turn our own outcry into the outcry of all those who frequent the forum by appealing to them as strikingly as possible....not with weekly burnings or choir songs....but VISUALLY!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I suggest every Coercer take and make the funniest photo shopped pics of our nerfiness. Even if they exagerate!! Do video if you can but pics are easier for the slower computers out there to view and easier to host so i suggest pics. Use funny twists on company slogans, doctor the photo to show coercers being designed by monkeys in a jungle, heck, you could get political with it and say george bush hates coercers for all I care, just MAKE IT FUNNY and CREATIVE! Be sure to post these creations HERE and in the SCREENSHOTS forum as they kinda fit into both. I suppose some will fit into the NGD forum as well and if their really funny then its wrong NOT to share them!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know how hard it is to make fun at such desperate times but lets do it! No way, everything in my post is non-offensive and its not meant in a harmful way. If anything all this publicity will do at best is change coercer but even if it does or doesnt it will be publicity for sony, I don't think they will lock it as its non-harmful.  I hope...

<P>Alright, to get everyone started I did an easy one. Its kinda a mock of Lockeye's quote about us locking down multiple heroics while soloing a higher con heroic as well and how he came to such a conclusion. I did it all in paint so as to show that even the most simple and easy to do stuff is worthy even if its not pro quality. For one, coercer has been least made since pretty much release and necro had charm undeath for double pets before our roots even got nerfed so to suggest that its ME or even MYSELF AND OTHERS picking on the DEVS is hysterical. Its Chunk from Goonies in that pic for cakes sake. Its not like I'm calling names or slamming anyone. If you don't think its funny so be it, but to assume I'm bashing someone with an obviously, and clearly stated as COMEDIC idea for FUNNY ads relating to our poor success in getting good development changes....thats just....laughable. HA....HA.</P> <P>I understand if you don't wanna go ahead and help out, but I'm asking everyone to make comedic ads when most on this forum have called the devs things getting haxxored by raijinn so for me to say they get their coercer info from Chunk from Goonies, well I doubt their sending the FBI to my house to search for C4 and perhaps chemical weapons. Gees. Way to take the fun outta funnny man, really. Its been made clear several people on the coercer forum have to bite their tongue just to post here and keep from saying what they WANT to say. This sounds like it might be fun and all, but if you really want to see changes made to us, pretty much the best way to do it is numbers and parses. Give tons of details of how we stack up numerically in solo, group, and raid situations, and let them know where we fall short. The problem is that the value of crowd control is difficult to represent numerically, but we most certainly can tabulate the value of our buffs in a wide variety of situations, and put the whole, 'Dur, dur, u guyz hvae tonz of utilitiez' moronic argument to rest.

<P>Yeah...its past the 1 year anniversery....scroll over these forums friend....countless "numbers" post have been made as time has passed and were still the least made class, for a reason, and its not just freeport.</P> <P>The latest travesty i've noticed is the necromancers charm undead that requires only 1 conc slot. This skill was brought in with DOF release when the level cap raise came. Our charm was still completely broken then and they STILL gave a better version of it to necromancers. I'd glady trade a 3 conc charm anything for a 1 conc charm undead if the mob was allowed to zone but our pets can't even do that which results in a gray zone meaning our most powerful solo ability is now gray'd out. Good luck back questing at 60!</P> <P>This is the most obvious mistake I've ever seen in the game THUS FAR not to mention the recent change to our roots that was stated as soon as the patch notes hit test and even by testers before the patch went live that they were NOT BALANCED and nobody listened til it hit live and caused deaths in game.</P> <P>The numbers/statistics thing does not work. But, classes with a high player count such as wizards/rangers have been pretty powerful since release. If we can take the voice of our 30 some coercers and turn into 10 fold through comedy I think we can get some attention to the problems.</P> <P>Call me crazy, but if the presidential campaigns can sway hundreds of thousands of voters with empty promises, maybe, just maybe we can get a few more folks behind us with comedy!</P> <P>Besides, if this doesnt work, what have we lost? Finally we saw SOME improvement. Our DPS has been raised no matter what anybody says, BUT it is still too low. At 49 my nukes, Scorching Beam and Aneurysm are pityful. Aneurysm takes too long to cast for too little damage.</P> <P>Surely the only thing thats needs to be done to our class is this. Make our utilities work? Power Drains, drain power? Stun/Stifle/Roots actually land on your target and for longer? Mez anything and for longer? We are not a DPS Class. Healers are not a DPS class either but do a hell of a lot better than us.</P> <P>Ive said this before, bring the DPS levels in line with our class. Scouts>Mages>Fighter/Healers</P> <P>Granted, Enchanters should be the lowest out of the Mage class. But we should still do more damage than any healers save the Fury Perhaps. Sorcerer>Summoner>Fury>Enchanter>Other Healer/Fighters</P> <P>Our utilities are not unique, someone mentioned in another thread. Inq/Wiz/Bruisers get root/stun/stifle/Mez. if we try to ever post numbers about how we are inferior and they just reply "omg, so I saw a coercer taking down a triple up while locking down two other encounters" and then nerf us again.  The other night I was trying to be in a group with some buddies and I was just kinda there to mez and add every once in a while... and they just told me to camp out and bring in my swashy, cuz he is well equipped and could tank better than our lame shadow knight, and could do DPS, and mez and just... be usefull. *sigh* <div></div>
