Upgrades will increase the damage to a higher % maybe a total of 150% in the end...dunno that might be too powerful. Then again its only an idea its not like its actually in the game. So, anyway, how bout everyone else post any of their own ideas for new Coercer spells? well at least it would beat our current charm we have now! instead of beating on us at the first resist check they kill their fellow mobs!

Interesting idea.  Not sure how exacly I'd use it if it ever went live.  3 second charm and you have to ensure the mob dies in those 3 seconds to get the secondary effect.  Would be tough since while charmed you cannot damage a mob directly.  I suppose you could charm when the mob only has a sliver of health left then hope it can grab and maintain agro and take enough damage to die.  Would be chalenging to use with a 6 second cast. I don't know, what was your vision about how this spell would be used?

The charm kills it immediately after 3 seconds. I know this sounds way too powerful but it has no point unless used on a group of mobs and also would be hard to use soloing. What I'm suggesting is using it in group situations for tough encounters. its like a mez for 3 seconds that kills the target and does a good AOE and kills the target.</P> <P>I would also like to see an AOE spell called confusion that causes mobs to target their own teammates for a short duration.</P> <P>Improving the spell increases the chance of it landing and the chance that it will last longer.</P> <P>Basically I am looking for more group friendly spells since charm is so solo oriented currently.</P>

OK I see where you're going.  Yeah I'd use that, but I doubt they'd implement it.  Here's why I think so, If you could explode group mobs and damage the remaining group to 50% hp you could attack a group of 5 explode 2 and it would kill the rest.  You'd be able to wipe big groups of similar mobs in a little over 12 seconds (2 casts).  Would be great but I doubt we'd see it.  We'll sooner see them fix our charm IMHO. Still a creative idea.  Possible it could be tuned to make it not over powered, but I doubt SOE is looking for additional spells right now.  I don't meant to say you shouldn't post ideas.  I'd keep posting any spell ideas you think are cool, who knows you may get lucky and catch a developers eye.

yeah i think it would be a powerful spell as well for group killing, so i added the 300 second recast timer. I think 5 minutes is enuff imo. That would mean maybe once every 3-5 groups perhaps and almost never twice per group in the end unless its a tough long raid and it does not work on heroic mobs. I am sure it needs a ton of tweaking but i was bored and thought of it.

Of course since it's a charm...it would have a chance to break every second with the average lenght of charm being 0 seconds and if you were standing too close...it would hit you as well.  Haha. <div></div>
