psychic wail and demoralizing gaze do exactly the same (ae stun).. have been like that forever, been bugreporting for that over a month. a fix would be nice sometime

Well I for one wouldn't mind to have 2 AE stuns instead of a pretty bad AE Dmg Spell (at least the prior versions were) if they are not on the same timer.

Unfortunately they share the same timer, and have exactly the same effect. It seems that the majority of level 50 spells have this problem, at least for the mage archtype.

Lame Lame Lame , just like our level 33-43 spells .... Tyrannical mind , perplexity , seizure , despair are all worthless spells .... I dont use these spells , the ones i had prior do more dmg/or last just as long... Beguile NEVER works unless im soloing , even then you have to hurt the mob before casting it ! Still waiting for an upgrade since 28 am i ever gonna get one?

i use seizure as secondary nuke.

despair on pretty much every mob.. its our slow after all

and tyrannical mind.. well i would use it if i didnt have despotic mind on master1. our best nuke and gives a thoughstone

im pretty satisfied with the coercer spells but psychic wail needs a fix.

edit: although, since we are on it..

http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=26&message.id=2025

seems like the stun/mez stacking issue has been fixed for illusionists.. but not for us

Message Edited by Sondrax on 02-06-2005 01:17 PM

The stun/mez stacking issue effects coercers just as much as illusionists.

Illusionists get the same spell, 7 levels earlier, costing a third the power and casting in a third the time. I honestly believe that the current effect for Psychic Wail/Discomfiting Gaze is the wrong effect for either spell.

yeah i did.. just tested it today again. stunned a mob with earie focus, then mez. and when the stun wore off, the mez went with it.

Actually, the mez dropped as soon as Eerie Focus ticked it's power drain over time. Power drain kills mez in EQ2. Try testing this with Perplexity instead.

Those two AE stuns at 50 are on the same timer. So its really one spell with two icons...
