<DIV>Ok, now before I start, I know someone will say - 'What did you expect? Just look at the names!'</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is far from an important issue. BUT, I want to know why they gave us Coercers the fun spells to make someone dance - which in my opinion is dang silly and not even funny - and the good side Illusionists get fun Illusion spells. Woopee at level 30 I finally get Illusion: Ratonga</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What this is, is still further proof of a blantant bias which the Devs favored the good side in Queynos! Seriously! Have you looked at the list of Heritage quests that start in Queynos or make Freeporters go into Queynos? The time they spent in designing Antonica and those graphics vs our Commonlands? They make us run for our lives through Nek Forest to get to a Tier 3 zone like TS when the good side simple takes a griffin ride and leasurely stroll into TS?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would complain about having more illusions but then we would get a illusion like this:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Illusion: Pinata</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Effect: Usable only on the caster.</DIV> <DIV> Transforms the caster into a Pinata and freezes the caster in place while increasing aggro on caster by 200%</DIV> <DIV> Also reduces the caster AC by 50%</DIV> <DIV> If the caster dies, one half of his inventory items are lost to the mob.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG><FONT color=#ffff00>Nothing is totally Fool-Proof to a sufficiently talented fool.</FONT></STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Its true, life is easier in Qeynos, but then again, Qeynos is for the weak. I actually enjoy the decrepit conditions of our city and the Commonlands. Learning to dodge mobs in Nek has only managed to hone my skills.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I do agree, however, the Heritage Quests are overbalanced, and while I can live with it, it does seem that the devs put more thought into Atonica and environs than our side (there is no comparison to the level of quality, detail, atmosphere and interesting-ness of Blackburrow and Stormhold vs. Wailing Caves and Fallen Gate, IMO).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That said, Coercers seem to be all about influencing the mind (emote fun spells included) and Illusionists about decieving the sense (illusion fun spells).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I do feel your woe, however - as an Inquisitor I get the 'fun' spell of making grouped members lower level than I cringe for 2 seconds, with no visible source or sfx. I'd rather have something else, too.</DIV>

Nektulos is tier 3. It is to freeporters as Thundering Steppes is to Qeynosians.

<DIV>Well look on it this way ... not many heritages truely usefull for caster none the less...</DIV> <DIV>Stein of Moggok take action exclusevely in Freeport in heavy guarded area - I have no idea who goodie could do this w/o been ejected from city</DIV> <DIV>Torbin Mystical Eyepatch - all actions within EF</DIV> <DIV>Legendary Journeymen Boots - action goes all round world</DIV> <DIV>FBSS - action goes all around world</DIV> <DIV>Fishbone earring - action goes in neutral zones but bottleneck is Nektulos</DIV> <DIV>That's ALL - there no more usefull coercers heritage .... yet for guild status you can do every single of em but as I said not likely goodie can do Stein of Moggok .... to many guards</DIV>

<DIV>Actualyl gettign stein hertiage isn't bad at all. The gaurd inside the tavern is a bit of pain, but give a newbie evil 1 gp to lock the gaurd in place with Find NPC once he goes out on the patio and you've got all the time in the world to do quest. Hardest part really is getting through the sewers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BTW comparing classes on fluff seems a very silly way of doing things. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Why not compare what the classes actually are capable.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seems to me coercers eventually gain strong advanatges in the ability to drain and regen power for the group, do single target damage, stifle 49+ mobs, and several other things I'm sure I'd be jealous of if only I knew they exsisted.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sure turning my group into a bunch of Female half elf wenches is fun, but sometimes I think it'd be more fun if I didn't have to haste 4 melees seperately.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>morale of the story: The grass isn't always greener on the otherside.</DIV>

<DIV>Yes I'd agree with this statement ...</DIV> <DIV>Illusionist more closer resemble classical EQ1 enchanter but coercer its more like hibrid necro+shaman+enchanter</DIV> <DIV>Well my (tm) is draining power from mob - practically every single coercer spell do that. I am not sure about illusionist but coercer at lvl 45 get Universal Tash - massive resistance debuff Arcane (mental +divine), Noxious (poison + disease), Elemental (cold + heat), I'll also say that our stifles argueble superior over illusionist one (we have garanaty stifles no chance to stifle). And lastly *sniff* DPS...</DIV> <DIV>For [FaarNerfed!] and gigle we took test</DIV> <DIV>lvl 46 wizard vs. lvl 46 coercer - no external buffs we both picked on lvl 39 mobs (highest grey con) </DIV> <DIV>Lvl 39 group of 1 arrow lizards in Feerrott. Wizard won by 3 or 4 second margine</DIV> <DIV>Second test was vs. double arrow recluse lvl 38 (heh wizards kinda more fragiles so we had to lower lvl of mob)</DIV> <DIV>Well wizard won with 15 second to spare</DIV> <DIV>Now there is a catch</DIV> <DIV>After first test I was FM</DIV> <DIV>Aftrer second test I burn about 40% power or so</DIV> <DIV>So guess what? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Burst DPS of Wizard of course higher (as it should be) but susteined DPS higher from coercer due to superior mana regeneration mainly (as it should be). Folks believe you or not but stacking Mind Gorge Adept 2 and Torment Adept 3 and haveing Clarity running do unbelievable things I can actually GAIN mana during combat</DIV>
