<DIV>I am a Conj so forgive my posting here, but i think you've hit the nail on the head with mez vs AE fighting. In most cases I think when fighting a group of mobs with no arrows ( Or maybe down or only one up arrows ) that if you have AE members in the party let them loose. However, certain tough fights and boss fights and wouldnt dare go AE happy on and would much prefer some good mezing to keep the party alive ( since we all know if the tank goes down, then the healer goes, and the rest accordingly after lol ). I wouldnt envy your jobs if you felt the need to mez every single fight, so my advice is to work out the mez vs ae with your PT while forming and then call the scenario as needed. Less headache for you, less whining from others, we all win :smileyvery-happy:.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ellestil 31 Conjurer</DIV>

<DIV>Agreed, there are many things that go into my decision to insist upon mezzing. The first thing I consider is the status of the healing in the party. If we only have one healer type then I believe that mezzing becomes extremely necessary when fighting mulitple mobs. This basic consideration is exasperated by others such as.</DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=ltr> <DIV>What 'kind' of MT do I have? Berzerker AOE maniac or single target patient Guardian? Great armor? or Poor armor?</DIV> <DIV>How many AOE members do we have?</DIV> <DIV>How powerful are our targets and how many come at once?</DIV></BLOCKQUOTE> <DIV>I like the fact that I can 'vary' my mezzing to match a particular group dynamic and I definately agree that good communication is key in establishing boundaries and expectations with your party.</DIV>

<DIV>I agree also</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When I first started I was mezzing everything in sight, my whole existence was based around mezzing. I grew out of that and now am enjoying playing my Coercer a lot more. Now that I don't worry about mezzing it gives me more time to do other things, although I am not highest damage dealer I can still dish out a fair bit (at lvl 27)</DIV> <DIV>Other classes have AE's and some are very good and they like everyone else like to use their abilities (thats what they are paying for) well let them, I am yet to hear somebody complain that i'm not mezzing everything. In a lot of cases battles go better without mezzing and if things go bad, well I have Mez if I need it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You just need to take every battle on it own merrit, and what you'll find after a while is that you'll get an understanding of what combination of mobs need to have CC, what just need to be nuked the hell out of and those that you need to pay close attention to as they could go either way. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Ghoulies on <span class=date_text>01-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:29 PM</span>
