I'm new to the class.. I'm pondering Veil of the Unseen, since we never get a spell to replace it.

<DIV>Nerjin is right Gloom must be your choice this spell you will use even at mid 40s all way to 50 due to fact that arcane mitingation debuff part stack with protean spells from this familty aka you can stack Gloom + Melancholy or Gloom + Despair but cannt stack Melancholy + Despair</DIV> <DIV>Gloom at Adept 3 lvl will max out damage around 50 damage per tic ... </DIV> <DIV>Breeze.... well you wont be using it at all past lvl 30 for simple reason ... At lvl 30 you should pick class trait Glowing Breeze (in a sence its Adept 2 spell Breeze with 5 min duration)</DIV>

Gloom by far, thats the only spell in the 10-19 range you will be using to 50.

What about Stupefy?

Stupify becomes pretty useless after lvl 30 or so. And completely so after 35. Because it can't be cast on any of the monsters you will be fighting. Gloom however, you will cast at least once on every single mob you will ever fight till you reach 50 and after.

<DIV>I did Breeze and the difference is amazing.  Every group I have been with has seen a huge difference even when I don't tell them it's adept III.  One downside though, the aggro from the mob is MUCH more than adept I.  Warning your tank is a wise choice so that he will keep the taunt key extra warm.</DIV>

<DIV>Jontomm multiple and comprehensive testing shown that Adept 1 and Adept 3 of Breeze both capped at 18 mana.tic regeneration</DIV>

<DIV>Believe what you want..  I have real live game experience that says otherwise.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Besides, why would anyone make an upgrade that does nothing?  A short term bug maybe but not long term.. that makes no sense... one way or the other, my personal experience has shown the difference to be palpable.  In the end, I believe what I see, not what others say someone else said.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would probably only suggest doing it as soon as you get breeze however so that you can get the max benefit from it.  Since we get upgrades to breeze later that upgrade it further than adept III it makes no sense to upgrade it right before you get the next upgrade.  In that case, I'd go gloom.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Jontomm on <span class=date_text>01-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:40 PM</span>

<DIV>Its nothing personal Johtomm</DIV> <DIV>Do research first then do upgrade </DIV> <DIV>It is wellknown fact that many spells gain power not linear and most gain happens then you gain new tier of spell aka move along line Apprentice - Adept - Master</DIV> <DIV>I been fortunate person who I believe first in game discovered what do Master upgrade for combat debuffs like stun-stifle-mez (need to test mez yet)... Generally speaking it raise cap for con of mob that can be affected by spells</DIV> <DIV>Apprentice 1 trough 4 - capped by single group ++ mob</DIV> <DIV>Adept 1 trough 3 capped by ++ X2 group</DIV> <DIV>Master 1 have either no limitation  or at very least +++ X3 group</DIV> <DIV>Long time ago then game just started ppl were desperately seeking way to push efficiency of Breeze so several ppl upgraded it from Adept 1 to Adept 3 and they did intensive research on power yeild result been totaly disappointing - 12 power/tic for Apprentice spells 18 power/tic for adepts....</DIV> <DIV>For nukes for example progression even more wierd</DIV> <DIV>App 1 to App 2  = +10% to damage</DIV> <DIV>App 1 to App 3 = .... +50% to damage</DIV> <DIV>App 3 to App 4 = ..... 0% to damage</DIV> <DIV>App 3 to Adp 1 = 25% to damage</DIV> <DIV>App 3 to Adp 3 = 40% to damage</DIV> <DIV>Adp 1 to Adp 3 = 10% to damage</DIV> <DIV>Adp 3 to Mst 1 = +25% to damage</DIV> <DIV>So to speak conclusion is unless you dont care about money you should not upgrade from App1 to App 2 any spells - its waste. and you should not upgrade from Adept 1 to Adept 3 any spells potency increase is laughtable</DIV>
