<DIV>Hi</DIV> <DIV>I am a bit confused about the level 23 and 24 spells. It seems as these 2 are AoE DD's which complety destroy our roles as CC's in groups. Not much point of Mezzing mobs only to break it for a ,compared to a wizard , rather small damage spell. I have myself not reached lv 23 yet so I have no ide if there is a use for this .. perhaps someone can enlighten me ? Might even be that this spell list is out of date ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV><SPAN>23 - Sibyllant (Single Target Impairment: +chance AoE Mental DD whenever impaired target attacks)<BR>24 - Simple Minds (AoE Mental DD, Single target power drain)</SPAN></DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So far all spells I have gotten has been great and I found use for them all , but when I read about these it just felt that those would not make it to one of my shortcut bars :smileyindifferent:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN></SPAN> </DIV>

<DIV>AOE is useful if the situation calls for it, we are mainly crowd control but having aoe spells can benefit. I have sucessfully finished a group encounter with aoe damage and glad for it.</DIV>

<DIV>Area taunts break mez too, I just know my area nukes dont break my own mez, Just HOs do.</DIV>
<DIV>AOE for casters only hits mobs that are grouped and will not break mez, unless its the AOE / DOT that the other 2 mage classes have and they use it before you mez</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PBAOE = Point Blank Area of Effect and this is what tanks have and it will break mez and also aggro other mobs if used. This causes more add on mobs in the lower levels then anything else I have seen. Higher level people finally realize but it is rough on enchanters early on.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>None of our AOE's will ever break mez. Syballant is really important once you get to 25. You cant use the AOE mez called Terrible Awe unless you have a thoughtstone and the only way to get one of these is to cast Syballant on the mobs you are fighting which will grant you a thoughtstone when it lands successfully and the mob then hits a target. </DIV>

Sibylant does very little damage and most of the time dosent proc by the time the "impared" mob dies. Simple Minds does about 58 dmg on a good hit (app2) .. I'm sure someone can give you a senario to use these spells but, I'f you ask me they are just about completely worthless.. I'm willing to bet my life that the lvl 42 upgrade to Sibylant sux too.. <sigh></P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Sibylant was fixed in the last patch. It should be doing the correct AE Proc now. </DIV>
