<DIV>So i am considering rolling an illusionist. I noticed on my server that there aren't very many. I see alot of illusionists being turned down in pick-up groups. It seems like people don't understand how helpful they are in groups. Also the few times I have grouped with illusionist or coercer the tank ends up breaking mez. Since I grew up with my stepmom ( im 15 ) being a illusionist i understand there role. It appears they are not wanted until endgame. So if I make an illusionist my question is will i be able to solo? Is it just me or is it really hard to get groups? Correct me if I am wrong but dont flame to hard. Thanks for your input :smileyhappy::smileywink:</DIV>

<DIV>first, any group isnt knowing what they are missing without a chanter. chanter isnt only manareger, you´ll even be able to take the spot of the second healer cause of stuns, dazes, stiffles, and you can do a decent amount of dps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>if the tank breaks mezzes, then explain it to him and the group what the mezz does. as you mentioned, illus and coercer arent a common class to play, so the peps often dont know what a mezz exactly is and how it works.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>dont stop trying to find groups. try to get as much as possible. you will get known by other players and finally they will give you a tell before you can even shout LFG, cause they know its easier with an illu in group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>for soloing:</DIV> <DIV>with the right spells, equipment and more or less huge amount of time, you´ll be able to solo almost any heroic mob in the game. you wont be the fastest, but for sure, one of the safest. there are severel threads concering soloing as an illu, so look them up.</DIV> <DIV>chanter in generell (illu or coercer) isnt a "hobbyclass" in my oppinion. you are a chanter, or you arent - point.</DIV>

<P>For the first 60 levels, you will never ever need to group with anyone else. Illusionists are top tier soloers from level 1 to level 70.</P> <P>I have never been refused a group as an illusionist. People who don't know what we do just assume that we are some DPS mage class (which we can be). People who <EM>do</EM> know what we do are smart enough to invite us to groups as soon as we go LFG.</P> <P>There are days when it takes a while to get invites, and days when I get invites before my screen comes up. I get cold invites and a invites when I'm not LFG. I get a lot of mez breakers, and even folks who don't know what the word Mez means. But never do I get refused a group because I am an illusionist.</P>
