shows great game design when players have sprint as their regular battle plan... <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>Heh not to shabby i suppose :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Although with out finishing up the Int line i range 1k-1500 on raids... :smileyhappy: All depends on the mobs were fighting... was able to get up over 2k on raid mobs, all depending on how the grp is made up.  Pvp server so usually im in the grp with all the scouts and don't get any grp buffs...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's all about the skills :smileytongue:</DIV>

Or just group with a Troubador and do 2k dps without Volatile Magic. PS 1.5-1.7k is not T1 dps. 2.3k+ is.<p>Message Edited by Pinski on <span class=date_text>01-14-2007</span> <span class=time_text>12:22 PM</span>

6 months ago called, they want their whine back. And if 1500 DPS is T1 for you, you need some work.

<DIV>I think with our buffs and all having around ~2k dps is fine and we should stop whining now. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I honestly have never been more satisfied with our class sinse this expansion came out. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The sprint thing is nothing new, it i has been around sinse AA's came out. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What is new is getting the correct group setups with EOF AA's. That is a far more intersting conversation to me. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BTW: 2.3k is not really top dps either, I had a wizzy hit 3-3.9k dps in freethinkers last night. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So with that in mind i think we are pretty much where we were pre-eof in the rankings of dps. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-stump</DIV>

You're seeing a Wizard hit 3k+ zone-wide? I don't think so. When I talk about DPS, I talk about zone-wides, not single fights. Also, why should our thoughts stop about our class? We aren't a DPS Class, we are Enchanters. Our Raid UTILITY(not DPS) is crap compared to what our Heroic Utility is.

<DIV>Generally speaking, the better your raidforce the more you're required to focus on DPS than on any kind of CC we have and that isn't a whole lot to begin with. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think I'm parsing around 1600-1700ZW on DT, labs, HoS, lyceum, MMIS, CMF. EH is a bit lower still since we're still learning the zone and FTH is at about 1400 atm. but sometimes I'd rather stay full power here just incase. I'm sure that'll go way up there when we blow through that zone like we do in all the other zones. I'm also sure that if them pesky scouts ever allow me to use my pet again I can easily hit 2k zw in many of these zones (did in lyceum anyway). It would mean crippling overall raid DPS though so I doubt that's ever going to happen <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>Anyway, yea we're a very decent DPS class (even though I'd rather take some utility) and we buff up others and those two combined might put us with T1 DPS-ers. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't believe a wizard can parse 3k+ in any zone. If it's just on one encounter sure, but can I please brag about my 10k DPS in PP:R two weeks back too then? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>With perpet and volatile magic i can get a zone parse of 2k easily in most zones. Its only really MIS that i cant parse too high in.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Im thinking of getting rid of volatile magic and trying it like that though, cuz its honestly really annoying.</DIV>

<DIV>With that all out DPS spec, how well do you actually mez things?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<blockquote><hr>Jvaloth wrote:<DIV>With that all out DPS spec, how well do you actually mez things?</DIV><DIV> </DIV><hr></blockquote>About as well as everybody else. Because who really uses mez in EQ2? I know I only use it in dire situations.

<P>Well on adverage when we did not wipe (we are still learning that mob in FTH that creates the X2 mobs of fellow raiders so it took awhile) he was hitting 2.8-3.5k dps. It was a new group set up we were trying so I dont have parses from places like HOS or LABS or whatever that we dont wipe on (anything KOS or Pre-EOF).  You can ask him yourself his name is technomanos on befallen, I dont have a reason to lie.</P> <P>And I was not saying that we should stop our thoughts that is obsurd. I was talking about our DPS, which was the topic of the thread.  As far as our utility goes, i think that our regen, buffs, phases and (albiet small amount) defuffs make us have great utility. While I think our power drains (I still think they need to be percentage based, epic mobs should have thier spell power cost scaled and they should not be able to use spells/ca's without the power), mezz immunity timers (shortened and each of our mezzes should have thier own immunity timers), stuns, aggro management etc needs some work. I dont think in the larger perspective of things that we are that bad off. In the priority of other issues that are happening with other classes I view our situation as a lower priority. I imagine the devs feel the same way. </P> <P>-stump</P>

<DIV>2.8-3.5k average means one (or both) of two things. Hes using blessings/miracles, or his pet is out. And his pet really shouldn't be out.</DIV>

I've never used the pet on a raid. Does it really add much more dps overall?

Jvaloth

<DIV>Definately adds more personal DPS but in grandscheme of things the raid is losing alot more dps than your pet is generating.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>"2.8-3.5k average means one (or both) of two things. Hes using blessings/miracles, or his pet is out. And his pet really shouldn't be out." <-- sorry I was talking about a wizard. They can have thier diety pets out just fine. </DIV>
