<DIV>I usually play a coercer, but the str line looked intriging. But, since I raid and the line really looks like a total joke for that end, I decided to make an illusionist, also because they seemed like they would be better suited for it anyway. I was just wondering if anyone has gone this line, and what other line I should go to compliment it. Also, should I use my race traditions for str, or int? And I though I read about healers capping dps bonus from str faster than tanks/scouts, would it be the same for mages? Can they get decent weapons?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV>

Since our personnae spends most of its life casting, it usually won't proc all three prismatic strikes, so it is more efficient to cast it on myself and turn melee on. Most times, I won't bother, and try to stay as far away from the mob as possible.</P> <P>There are some very respectable weapons out there for mages that do their damage through procs. Spending AA's to increase the chance of double attacks and parry/ripostes seems like a waste to me, even if it means that a weapon proc will trigger more often. I simply don't find myself enganged in melee combat very often. I'd rather spend AA's on something that will be in effect more often than not.</P>
