Am I mistaken that most of Sol Ro's miracles/blessings are based on heat based spells and illusionists don't really have any of those? Why would you want to worship Sol Ro? Just wondering if I missed something.

Since you can only have one miracle and one blessiing, some of the fire only Sol Ro things don't matter if you like at least one of the miracle/bleessings. Just choose the ones that aren't before you go out raiding. Personally, I don't understand the infatuation some chanters have with DPS... blame parsers, it makes allot of classes do stupid things, especially wizard classes.

I took Quellious myself and the only two I ever take consistantly is Pacification (the 15% duration and 15% resist modifier on mental spells) and the Blessing that give you 5% per tick power regen... so many power drainers now days it can save the raid on those last 10% fights. The mem-wipe kinda sucks... it works exactly like phase (wipes the targets target) except its a complete mem-wipe instead of just putting the targets target at the bottom. If you time it wrong (just like phase) and the main tank taunts a second before you use it, you end up wipeing the main tank off the list and you all die. If there is only one person on the list, the mob will go back to non-agro, but if there is anyone else at all, or it is a linked encounter, or it is a social mob it doesn't do anything except drop the guy with current agro off the list of ONE mob. I know some of you want to split Vyemm, and you can, but you don't need mem-wipe to do that... besides, its stupid to send a power regen to die when any monk who doesn't suck can do it without dying. Only being able to do it once an hour makes the mem-wipe pretty much worthless in my opinion.

Yeah i dont use mem wipe for group encouters. Rather to just shake agro from myself i may get while running or whatnot. or even when pulling and getting more mobs then i wanted. I sent in feedback for a mem wipe spell for a long time. Glad i finally got one.

I guess it depends on the group you're usually in, and the guild too.

We have never had any power regen problems really, and since I'm usually grouped with a troubadour I, nor my group, really needs much more power regen 99% of the time. So far we haven't seen any mobs that totally drain our power to the point where you'd wish you had some extra, so I picked sol ro. The faster the mob dies, the less time a mob has to use power drains and the less power you can use so that partially solves that too.

I for one am not one of those enchanters that is fine with sitting back being a buffbot/manaregenner/CC-er all the time because "that's what we're supposed to be". Well we aren't at this point in time so I find it rediculous that people actually feel good doing nothing on raids because with their view on things there is nothing they can do.

Added to that we also have 2 coercers in the guild so when it does come to mezzing and stuff on that rare occasion there is more than one person that can take care of that. Same goes for memwiping, we have coercers for that.

I'm doing Sol Ro. Yes I want more DPS.

Not all of the miracles/blessings need you to use fire spells. The one I'll probably use the most is the one that procs 300-400 fire damage on every successful hostile spell, for 10 minutes. Should be nice. I will also wear the cloak.

I'm taking the Enchantment AA line, so power regen is covered. I'm also thinking of taking the time compression line, so something that makes my mental spells last 15% longer (Quellious) will actually hurt my DPS.

The way I see it, I'll probably only use the blessings and miracles on raids. There wasn't much Quellious was going to give me that I would use in raids (we also have 2 Coercers that raid).

Message Edited by Belizarius on 11-26-2006 05:52 PM

Is there a walkthrough for Sol Ro? What level should bother starting deity quests?

Oh good question. I only did them at 70, they were all a doddle except the final quest.

Pretty sure you can do the first one from level 20 onwards, they get progressively harder. The guy you need to talk to is on top of the cliffs overlooking the beach in Butcherblock up the northern end. They were fairly self explanatory I didn't look at a walkthrough. Personally I wouldn't bother using the blessings and miracles except on raids, but the stat buff pet and the damage cloak you can use all the time.
