hows pvp for an illy ...can someone gimme some tips on playin one?<div></div>

<P>I'll be short, I used to think Warden > ALL in PVP, until I rolled Illus... I can confirm now it was a mistake</P> <P>Illus > ALL in PVP</P> <P>Just a few tips from me here:</P> <P>0) Obviously you need your pet for solo PVP, I would also suggest having it for group PVP sacrificing buffs because our pet is one pain in the az. Name the pet with your char's name, this confuses people esp. trackers really bad.</P> <P>1) Have totem of butterfly with you <STRONG>all the time</STRONG> not to get jumped on - you have little to no chance if they jump on you</P> <P>2) Always attack first and concetrate on draining mana (no matter of the class). Draining mana is your way to win. Upgrade all your mana draining spell to best possible, because your pet reuses your crowd control masters from your book at full power (and 2 of our mana drains are attached to our crowd control nukes, stun and stifle), this is unlike damage spell which have reduced damage for pet.</P> <P>3) Concentrate on not letting the <STRONG>melee</STRONG> opponent to get to you (stun, root, mezz) until you sucking out all the mana out of them.</P> <P>4) Concentrate on keeping <STRONG>mages and healers </STRONG>stifled and stunned until you sucking out all the mana out of them..</P> <P>5) In about 10-15 sec max your opponent (up to yellow) should have zero mana and no way to do anything or even sprint away or cast evac, as all that requires mana. Then, just kill him with your damage spells. You can sprint around them safely because you will still have tons of mana to finish your job twice, and even if you run out of mana, your pet will finish your job for ya.</P>

Also don't forget to use "Blink" It still moves you and instead of hate reduction clears your enemy's target, sometimes you will also get lucky and it will throw them and they will go for your pet lol, in any case its handy.Personally I upgrade my mez to master II and have great pleasure mezzing those 8 levels above me thinking they got an easy kill - of course I run but it holds them for a while and of course can be cast WHILE running. As well as INT, STA is quite important to me I thought I'd give it a try and for me at least, the extra HP has made the difference between being one shotted and not (so far lol).

Hehe, If I seem to remember rightly I discovered it when I moved in an attempt to stop a mez, as I decided a mez wasn't needed after all, and lo and behold it still cast! :-p
