Personae casts lowest tier spells?

<DIV>I just lvled my illusionists to lvl 20 and found out that it still casts confusion (lowest tier stun/shortest duration) instead of paranoia, is this due to apprentice1 spell? <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> i hope it doesnt stay this way throughtout all levels</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and how come my personae doesn't seem to cast root at all?</DIV>

<P>The personae pets always cast the tier 1 name spells, they do however scale up as the pet levels up so they end up doing far more damage than the version of the spell that you had in tier 1. </P> <P>The fact your personae is apprentice I isn't the cause of this.  However, having your pet at app I does mean that the pet will only cast app I spells which makes him very very weak ... you'll want to upgrade that pet as high as you can afford (no less than Adept I if possible) as soon as you can.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

My level 70 Personae roots all the time. It's like the first spell she will cast. As far as duration of dazes at 70, I've not really paid attention other than if I see she's cast a stun I will try to cast something else.<div></div>
