Hey guys,I've been reading a lot of threads on the board about this spell-proc issue and have a simple question:Does the spell proc change only really negatively affect those who cast it?Let me clarify. All of the threads I've read so far gripe about "Illusionist has almost all below 2s cast spells...," similar arguments for troubadours. But, for the other mage classes that are GROUPED with illusionists... do they almost always benefit?I ask because with the upcoming LU you guys will gain raid usefulness and that was really what was holding me back (was eyeing enchanter class for quite some time!) I'm trying to decide between Coercer and Illus (I understand the countless threads on coercer vs. illus, thats not what this is) but the spell proc "nerf" seems to affect you more seriously than coercer and its a little discouraging since I much prefer the good classes.Thanks!P.S - I realize i butchered that last paragraph, just tough it out <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>I am not a chanter but from raid parses I can tell you no caster benefits from the spell proc nerf.  Everyone's that cast spells has had thier dps decreased.</P> <P>Iceheart</P> <P>Wizard</P>

It seems like everybody is affected from the last 2 days of parsing. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, however it is still a fair damage nerf of about 10% overall to fast casters, and 5% to slower casters.

<P>On the 2 raids I've been on since this has come up, I'd agree that my DPS is down about 10%.  I'm not a hardcore raider like most of the posters and only recently started parsing for fun and learning how to best maximize DPS.  When I raid, the my raid force varies widely, so I can't speak for how others have been effected.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

Raid usefulness? I don't think you read the changes very much.1 single enchanter will be useful roughly 10% of the time.<div></div>

<DIV>Ya I was playing around with parses last night in labs as well. Noticed that snyergism is kind of a waste of time. And haste isin't really useful either. So I started parsing my pet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Turns out my pet does more dmg then 2 snyergisms.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Meaning: I parsed multiple classes (who all were doing a good amount of dmg in that encounter). And noticed that the highest dmg I could get out of synergism off of anyone class in a typical lab trash encounter was about 4k dmg (total dmg they had from synergism was 4k). Which, isin't that bad really if you think about it. X2 thats 8k total dmg I add to an encounter by buffing people with synergism. In case anyone was wondering it was warlocks I was buffing. I tried every class I had available in our raid to.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So I decided to drop synergism and try my pet. Turns out on avg he was doing 10k total dmg in a labs trash encounter. He would even do about 13k total dmg and maybe 9k at the lowest. So basically I just kept my pet unless it was an AE encounter where he would get destroyed to easily. Then I would switch to group buffs and synergism since overall it was probably better. Cause if he just gets killed by the AE he isin't helping that much.</DIV>
