<DIV>Does stifle indeed stop someone from using combat arts for the duration, reducing them to just autoattack?  I've heard a few people say it does.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's hard to test since I've never played eq anywhere but the pvp server and dueling is disabled there.  I've tried testing it in regular pvp, but it's just a wee bit inconclusive (not to mention I'm also trying to focus on not dying) without being able to say to someone, "Okay, stiffling you, now try to use combat arts now, ok you can't?  Check." as it's hard to say whether it's really stifled them or they just aren't using CAs atm.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'd ask a 70 illusionist in-game...but everyone (including me) is /anon because (you guessed it) it's a pvp server.  ><</DIV>

<DIV>Yes.  Stifles prevent any usage of any CAs or Spells.</DIV>

However, be aware that there some classes have abilities that can be used while stifled, cure a stifle, or prevent a stifle from taking effect.

For example, guardians have some taunts that can be used when stifled, but their other CAs won't work. <div></div>
