View Full Version : A Rant on Illusionist T7 spells

<div>The entire line of our T7 spells are just marginal, incremental upgrades of the previous spell lines.  Nothing at all new except phase (more later)  This must have taken someone all of 10 minutes to make up, with half that time devoted to finding a pencil and paper.  If these spells are akin to a bowl of watery tomato soup, then the phase spell is surely the fly in the soup.  It is an absolute pox that does nothing positive.  It is the only creative moment that the illusionist spell designers have ever had, finding such a useless and pointless spell.  I have this mental image of the Illusionist dev desk.  It is empty because the previous incumbent was fired for incompetence 6 months ago.  They have never replaced him.  The in basket is overflowing.  Someone has tacked a list of the proposed illusionist T8 spells on the wall.  Same as the T7 of course with different names.  The phase upgrade teleports a mob 20 meters instead of 10.  Can't wait.....</div>

<div></div>I think the fix for phase is simple. First off it does not teleport the way it describes....they can be right next to you after you cast it which is annoying when it should be at least 40 meters according to the descripition. Second, increase the recast to maybe 2-5 minutes and add memwhipe. I would be happy with this spell if it had a 10 minute recast and it teleported them away and did memwhipe. It could be just another emergency CC spell like illusory allies.

<div></div>i kinda like my T7 spells... saved me a fortune, as im still using all my old adept3's and masters, all are better tha adetp1 versions from T7, with a few exceptions.
