<div></div><p>After my Monk got 62 I decided Ineed something different for a change and rolled an Illusionist.</p><p>It's very different in playstyle and challanging. I like to play my Illusionist a lot. Not an easy class to play but that's what I like about it.</p><p>Haven't played in groups much yet due to the fact, that most other players still have no clue what an Illusionist does. Only once was in a good group and people where surprised. Specially the healer since he had to heal the tank much less due to the fact that only 1 mob was hitting him and not a whole bunch.</p><p>Can't wait to get to lvl 32 and see what the construct is capable of.</p>

<div>Well I'm a level 60 Illusionist, and in my opinion, I like the lower levels coming here and bringing a breath of fresh air.  I'm tired of hearing how bad we are at raiding, and the endless complaining.</div><div> </div><div>Every class discussion board has the same thing -</div><div> </div><div>1.  We need (fill in the blank) and we are going to cry about it until we get it.</div><div> </div><div>Fact is, the Illusionist class is one of the most powerful classes out there, and the most respected.  We are asked endlessly for groups.  During raids, our combat buffs procs alone are worth are being there.</div><div> </div><div>My wife is a conjurer, and we duo together.  It's a scary combination.  Funny thing is that when we go to the conjurer board it's the same old complaining.</div><div> </div><div>Don't lose your enthusiasm, New Illusionists.  Our class is one of the best in the game, and extremely enjoyable to play.</div><div> </div><div>Magnificent Domonic</div><div>60 Barbarian Illusionist</div><div>Befallen</div><div>Legion of Legend Guild Leader</div><div> </div>

<div></div>I am in a raiding guild, and we love our illusionist on raids!!!!   There are several raids that have heroic adds, and he makes them so much easier.  The buffs he gives are amazing as well.  I believe it is one of the most difficult classes to play, and not everyone can do it well.  A lot of the value that a chanter adds is not always easily seen, and therefore underappreciated.  As far as grouping goes, a chanter rocks there too.  For example, taking on a named heroic mob, both healers and one of the dps is down- looks like a sure wipe - then the chanter saves the day!  He mezzes the mob, a dirge rezzes one of the healers, who in tun rezzes the other two people, everyone meds up a little and we smack down the mob!  How awsome is that!  Okay, I know alot of your spells don't work on epics, and that kind of sucks.  But the buffs and mana regen are still awsome.  Rumors that your dps is bad are just that- rumors.  I've seen illusionst parse in the top 6 many times on raids.  Over all, chanters are a great utility class and will always shine in the right light.

Please don't overmez. Mezzing within an encounter is usually not needed, and you slow down everyone from using their AEs. Let the healer earn their keep, too.If you want to mez an add, great. If you want to mez a named and beat down his cronies first, that's fine. But if you're in a group with my alt and you mez 3 out of 4 mobs in an encounter, I'm gonna break all those mezzes with my AEs because it's faster and not dangerous at all.

I will aggree i've played a fury to 53 and  a templar to 50 as well as a shadownight to 45 I started a illusionist the other night just to see what all the fuss was about and I really enjoyed it at the lower lvl im only 18 i know still wet behind the ears but I do enjoy it its a change and to mez 1 target root the other and kill the 3rd then move down the line is alot of fun compared to what im use to.  Im interested into seeing how well it plays out and im not a big raid person so  its the questing and crafting that'll be it for me!!<div></div>

<div></div>Its tough to educate sometimes. People get offended you try to educate at all even if your polite. Some kind of ego thing since they think they know everything about there class and what they should do. Of course these people are pretty rare....but I run into them from time to time.
