<div>I just did some tests with my Personae Split between Apprentice I and Adept III.  Although the pets appear to be the same,  the upgrade is a significant improvement.</div><div> </div><div>Killing crabs at the same level (20) with my app I pet was consistently at about 22-28% health at end of fight.  My Adept III pet can kill same crabs with 60-65% remaining health. I assume this is to better dps and not higher defense.</div>

<div>Upgrading the pet increases DPS, lowers resists, and looks like it increases avoidance.</div>

<div></div>The way I understood it, the level of the spell effected the level of the spells your pet cast.  So basically your test was comparing someone who was casting all app1s to someone who is casting all adept3s.  You should definitely see a big difference like you said you did.  Less resists, more damage, etc..

<div></div>Before the PvP servers got into the game, I played an illusionst on LDL. Having a rich alt, I immediately upgraded my lvl 20 pet to Master 1, and was glad to see it casting root. Now on Darathar, I again chose an Illusionist. Being a new server, no rich alt and very few masters, I had to settle for the App IV version of my pet. I noticed right away; no root.2 days ago, I found an Adept 1 version. Scribed it immediately, hoping for some roots, but no such thing.I havent had it upgraded to Adept III yet, but will soon, and I hope to find root as a spell my pet can cast.Anyone confirm this?<div></div><p>Message Edited by vufvof on <span class="date_text">03-06-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:30 PM</span></p>

<div></div><p>I found a Master version of the personae split shortly after I bought adept III. Master is a nice upgrade over the adept III. She does use root (can't recall whether my adept III did but I think so) and has nice dps and seems to hold her own against even ^^ mobs with my assistance of course. </p><p> </p>

<div></div>Just to reconfirm, my master I Personae Split level 20 does cast root everytime.  Actually its annoying sometimes when soloing because she roots then runs into melee range almost the next spell cast.  I usually have her retreat back to me then we sit there for 15 secs for the root to break.
