<div>I would like to say i have have found illusionist half the fun they are in eq 1 and eqoa . I know in eqoa they are alot of fun. The main reason I luve them is because You can Change yourself into an evil being or race and go through evil villages in eqoa kinda a bonus feature . now in eq2 u cant do it it seems the illusions are just entertainment . So illusions mean nothing? Why did u take out the main thing of an illusionist. It was a big let down and also since kos came out uve made it imposible to do some missions that are green to me like the assassin one where i have to go to freeport im lev 48 this should be easy to me . but when u have a lev 60 named right by the door plus two lev 50 guards and this is the door to the inn where i just need to talk to someone gees u just made the quest imposible unless u have all ur buddies there to help u on some supposidly easy quest come on eq2 is fun but get serious here. and im not the only one complaining everyone is. well anyway the point is as an illusionist if my illusions actually worked like in eqoa i would be able to go in the inn and talk the guy . but no lol eq2 took out that feature for some reason ... the illusionist is the most callenging of the classes dont u think it deserves to have its main feature ? if not eq2 has become WOW to me lol but i have faith ull make this better . thats why im still playing. plus it still rocks . but it let me down with this class which is my fav to play .. anyway get back to me.</div>

<div></div>I can live without the illusions. I played a chanter up to 68 in eq1 and really never used illusions much after level 40. The thing I like about my illusionist in eq2 is my solo ability. I'm level 49 now and can easily solo level 48^^^ golems in permafrost. I get 1.5% exp per kill with no vitality. It does take 2 personaes to kill them but oh well. One personae dies, I mez the golem and conjure up another and kill the darn thing and get lots of exp. I think it's safe to say that we are one of the top 2 or 3 solo classes in the game and that is good enough for me. I couldn't care less about illusions.

I really would like to see useful illusions. Really, illusionists should be the people who can go almost anywhere unmolested as they should be able to 'fit in' no matter where. They should be able to mimic the form of creatures around them and be basically invisible from the point of aggro.

<div></div><p>yea, they need an illusion skill that mimics a targeted humanoid creature, but works like the stealth skills, if the mob is to strong, they can see through it. or at the very least give the class more fluf illusions, My human Illusionist, has a human illusion skill... <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<div>.. you mean make our class name mean something?</div><div> </div><div>im pretty sure at the moment we have the worst illusions out of all classes that have them</div><div> </div><div>i'd trade them all for a rust monster =/</div><div> </div><div>good idea, but im sure it was mentioned at launch... i know i moaned about it back then.</div><div> </div><div>still we're not the most neglected class in the game. if you want a laugh go read the templar baords</div>

<div></div>exactly my point in eqoa it was nice to turn into a troll or dark elf and travel into the town and use their coaches mad nice short cuts around the map also was nice to be able to go through villiages of an enemy (mobs) that have faction against u . I just feel while call them illusionist then the name dont fit . but seriously I think some of u have the ideas i do this game could make this class fun like it is in eqoa .. eq1 i really only played that for a week lol. well anyway i nother prob that has developed is the reason the whole illusionist thing came about in the assassin quest and im from qeynos so when i goto freeport to talk to guy at the inn well no that theyve beefed the guards it is imposible for me to do quest with out calling a raid to do this 30ish lev quest when im 49 lol and illusionist ud think id be able to turn into even the gnoll form which says its evil and go in but the illusions serve only for looks thats my point then why have them at all . eqoa was great in the matter /. also u could have the illusion forms plus if u did class mastery then u got glamour illusion form meaning if i turned from high elf to erudite then my stats would change over to fit the form meaning i could raise my int by 10 or so. or barb so my streghth go up too it was pretty nice . and i also think now they have pvp u could also be an illusionist in this game and not get slaughtered all the time lol. I think the devs should really look at this class it is supposed to be the funnest one and clalleging so im glad im not the only one here u thinks this....

<div>Makes me sad that coercers get the majority of the EQ 1 enchanter abilities. paoe stun, charm, "tash"</div><div>Where as illusionists just get the illusions, which all suck. As if it would be so hard to give us some form of buffing illusions. Not to say that Coercers have it any easier, but illusionists need some illusion love.</div>

<div></div><p>If Illusionists were the only ones able to get past the 60 guard at the Freeport Inn for the Reaching Blade HQ, that would hardly be fair would it? <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Just FYI, I had to get my lvl 61 Illusionist friend to mez the guard while I got my templar to get inside the inn and hail the npc, it was a bit of a work around and I realise people shouldn't have to do that. Hopefully they will fix that.</p><p>So, in this game especially on PvE servers, the whole using illusions to sneak into the oposing faction's city is pretty pointless. Most times you can sneak in alright with a little finesse.</p>

<div></div>ok so why call us illusionist then if our illusion dont do anything? in eqoa its sweet and it is fair since every class has there own abilities its like takeing away sneak attack from a thief . its the whole point of being illusionist. since also we are one of the weakest. well since some of you dont see the point then tell soe to name us something diff then until then im goin to keep the fight up and the point of illusionist u see its supposed to be the fun class to be.

It does seem to me that there's little point in calling a class "Illusionists" if they aren't going to be given illusions that serve a purpose. Might as well call paladins "Pony-Treckers" because they get a fun mount. Surely in any game you define what you want the class to be, name it accordingly and base the key abilities around that definition.

<P>I think the illusions refers to the concept behind your spells...</P> <P>at least for us the concept is our spells are nightmares (being evil) placed upon the weaker minded ect... where as the good and noble illusionist use illusions to befuddle and controll their foes...</P>

<DIV>Illusionists definately need some loving. Some cooler spell effects, some illusionst that actually do things. I think our personae should visually scale as we upgrade from app 1 to master 1 just like other classes pets. I think we should get illusions that actually do something aswell. Like someone earlier said, we have all these lame illusions that turn us into another race. Anyone can do that buy investing 30s and buying that races eye and 2s per racial bone...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Give us some love!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Illusory allies is a step in that direction. But everything else pretty much has nothing to do with illusions. They should have geared all spells from the beginning with an illusion theme of some sort. But everything is already made and done and all they can do now is add on stuff. Which in sony's mind may cause us to be to powerful.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would like to see some additional spells with an illusion theme to them where it may have an effect of some sort on the mob. Such as turning a tank into a powerful monster may increase their threat to monsters since he is more intimidating. This of course is just an example. But something I wish they would have done from the beginning.</DIV>
