<div>I'm trying to get a thread going to rally some support for a useful illusion for us. So please post away in here if you wish we had some useful illusions. If we can get this thread active maybe someone will notice it.</div><div> </div><div>Remember the wierd werewolf illusion in EQ1? Maybe it wasn't the most incredible buff, but it was a VERY cool idea and VERY fun to use. Why can't we have something like that? Wardens can turn people into giant wolves now, with a rezz spell, and shamans have a size increasing spell. There is nothing wrong with that, but why on earth do illusionists not have a useful spell that puts an illusion on a group member? We are illusionists aren't we? Yes we do have illusory allies, and an illusory pet, and for those I'm grateful. But... being able to turn my group mates into humans and half elves and dinky gnolls just isn't cutting it. Its like SOE dropped that whole group member illusion idea for us right after launch.</div><div> </div><div>I'd poop my pants if they removed "phase" and put in a single target buff that turns a melee person into something that looks like the big burly gnolls, like faroth mal or whatever... i'd mail roses to the SOE offices.</div><div> </div><div>Or for that matter, anyone remember "minor illusion," the one that would turn us into nearby objects? That was pretty silly, but what I wouldn't give to turn into a rug or something... <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

LOL I remember bring the whole front of Felwith - and when you coudl strafe in illusion form, it was fun to put Feliwth entry all over the place.Or the old newbie trick of dropping gold, turneing yourself into the coint, then picking up the gold. And watchign newbs try to pick you up. Heh.<div></div>
<div></div><p>well, in beta, illusionists had a shrink spell. It was a great spell to use: it was a fun, and moreover, it let my graphic card breath :smileyvery-happy:</p><p>Anyway, they take it off the game prior to release saying the spell was bugged ( even though i had no trouble with it for about 2 months) and never gave it back to us :smileysad:</p>

<div></div><p> I am from Qeynos. I bought my (<strong><font color="#cc0066">VERY FEW</font></strong>) illusions there... I have human, half-elf, dwarf etc. They all seem to be the Goodies.</p><p>My question is, do the Coercers get illusions? And (or) does Freeport sell Evil character illusions that I could scribe?</p><p>Thanks!</p>

Remember the tunnel from the Commonlands to the Desert of Ro? There was a huge pillar of rock in front of the tunnel entrance in the desert and I was able to use Minor Illusion to mimic the pillar right in front of the entrance (before the limited the size of the object you could copy). I covered up the tunnel entrance so that it just looked like a smooth rock face. It was funny to watch people running back and forth looking for the tunnel.I know it was a stupid, annoying thing to do but I only did it the one time and no one was killed.Fluff like fun, cool illusions (and non-illusion fluff) is sorely lacking in EQII.

<div></div><p>I'm not sure what is more frustrating tbh. Not having any thought out illusions... AT ALL, or the first AA point you get with a fury (an alt of mine) which gives you the ability to turn into a tiger, a ghost wolf or a tree (granted the tree is pants but then the illusionists are worse!) These afaik are useable from level 20?! Correct me if wrong but know it's early on in fury class...</p><p>We get human and wood elf or some rubbish like that. It's only a fun part of the game at the end of the day but seeing conjurors turn into floating bubbles and flaming beings and a fury turn into really kewl illusionary stuffs too makes an illusionist look like a third rate illusionist and third rate is being generous!</p><p>The answer to this minute problem is not to take the illusions away from other classes but to bring them back into the game for our class.</p><p>I have been thinking on a solution to a couple of problems that will actually make the illusionist more fun as well as bringing some illusions into the game and actually claiming back part of our class right!</p><p>Using a similar principle to invis mixed with creature catalogue (basically photo imaging the class type). The idea would work that you would need to capture the image of a class type in order to be able to cast an illusion using that class. This would then be continuously stored in your memory/abilities and maybe have a limitation of five (sticking with current amount - or thereabouts) stored, anymore would get rid of the last one or even maybe a selectable option to get rid of the illusion you don't want anymore. The way it's related to invis is that you would cast this as a singular or group morph which puts you on a no-agro term with the class type as long as, ofcourse that it's the same class that you are moving amongst that is cast upon you or your group. I guess sticking with the 10 minute restriction would need to be applied. This would then be a constant option to cast that class type anytime anywhere you please until you delete it and/or you get a new one to override an old one.</p><p>Singular though I'm not sure how it would work.. Could make it so if you were in combat the illusion would drop but then think that might be a downside... or would it?! Any feedback appreciated as me personally I would like to see this in the game.. Not a high priority but something that does need to be addressed imo.</p>

I would love to see a dev respond. But that will never happen. I agree we need some illusions. Maybe even some useful ones.....
<P>Was told that illusionists will not be getting any new illusions until faction becomes more relevant.</P> <P>So, don't hold your breath, its going to be a while - my guess.</P> <P>And meanwhile, we sit and watch other classes get fun neat fluff illusions. I guess if we want more racial illusions we ILLUSIONISTS need to get in line with everyone else and do the petrified eye collection quests.</P>
