<div><strong><em>Control Spells</em></strong>Control spells (Snare, Root, Stun, Fear, Charm, Stifle, Mez, and Pacify) will carry an immunity placed on the target for 2x the duration of the spell. Essentially, if you are rooted for 10 seconds, you will be immune from any root effects for the duration of that root and for 10 seconds after the spell wears off. <i>*Note* You'll only be immune to these effects from other players; these immunities will not protect you from NPC spells.</i></div><div><em></em> </div><div><em></em> </div><div>need i say more?</div>

<div></div><div>thats not necessarily true. any other healer or mage in the group can just cast cure arcane, and poof no stun.</div><div> </div><div>oh yeh, and if that healer is a defiler, he can self cure while stunned, just like monks.</div><p>Message Edited by DaMutation on <span class="date_text">02-21-2006</span><span class="time_text">02:14 PM</span></p>

<div>plus manastone currently breaks stuns and mez's in duals ... so get mezed everyone click manastone ..... all those stuns and mezes can be rendered useless but a mid level hertiage item (or maybe low level now that level cap has been raised again)</div>

<div></div><p>I would expect that groups simply try to take down enchanters first. I know i have done it in Splitpaw.</p><p>Dead chanters do not stun, mez or stifle anymore. And they die pretty easy anyways.</p>

<div></div><p>Last night my main PvE server went down so I rolled a Illusionist on the Euro PvP server.  I rolled a Illusionist because I thought it would be interesting to play a lesser played class on a PvP server and since I was pretty familiar with the spell line.</p><p>I was expecting to be the only Illusionist running around newbie island and the lowbie zones around Qeynos.  However it seemed like every 3rd character was a Illusionist.  I found this to be very strange.  Is this the case on the US pvp servers too?</p>

<div></div><p>Same thought I had the first day I played. There were tons of Illusionist on the island, but unfortunately, I think a big portion retired or re-rolled because there are a lot fewer in the higher zones. There are still more than on the PvE servers so there may still be hope for us.</p><p>I think the main problem is that it's a fairly complicated class to play well and that most of the new players just wanna nuke or shoot the big arrows.</p><p>I love my Illusionist but have to admit that there is something awefully cool about burning down another character in 5 secs or sneaking up behind them and bam, they're dead. </p>

<font size="2"><font face="Arial">On the EU PVP server, I am so nice and friendly a illusionist, everyone loves me, and want to me like me </ironi>Seriously, I think I've seen one other active Illusionist above lvl 20. There's probably more, but they must be quiet. However, I really do like playing Illusionist on PVP.When grouping for pvp, we rock hard. We're hard to sneak up on and we often get away. I chose Entrance (primary mezz) as Master II.It can't be interruptet and can be cast while running, so when I rarely get jumped by a higher lvl, I allways land my mezz and can easily run away.Needless to say, group mezz is great for pvp too <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />KaltenAlThor: You'll allways see Fooflehag on that /who <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></font></font>

<div>LOL i think about my EQ enchanter in PvP and all I could ever do was charm opponents and "stick" them in broken geometry (LOL I loved doing that, SOE not so much) or send them into guards.</div><div> </div><div>Necro was the only caster class that was capable of competing in EQ PvP and I would assume that pet classes will rule in EQ2 as well (these guys just are not the most creative bunch). </div>

<div></div>I had an enchanter in EQ1 on a PvP server and will probably create one here as well.  I know that back then our debuffs and dispells were also very important.  How is that here?  Do enchanter dispells (they do get them right?) take out some of the buffs they have like SOW, hp buffs etc?

<div>the only dispel enchanters get is dispel magic, which any other mage has as well.</div><div> </div><div>if u want dispells go for a pally....or make a shaman and pick the dispel AA.</div>
