<div></div><div></div><div></div><div><strong>edit: for those who haven't seen the 2-handed fountain of life staff, the cobra head is part of it, and not part of the hat.</strong></div><div> </div><div>currently both enchanter classes have the same graphic for the Kingdom of Sky hat, just like the Templars and Inquisitors do.  You've all seen the Inquisitor "pope" hat, well templars are in that also for the time being.  On the other hand, Shadowknights and Paladins both have their own hat, and eventually all the classes are supposed to have their own.  So, here's a few pics of the enchanter hat, and I have no idea whether it will end up being a Coercer hat or an Illusionist hat.  But, being an illusionist myself, I'm posting it here <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>Here is a pic of the hat's stats, with me and my personae modeling it. notice that his hat is lighter, with much less emphasis on the decoration. I don't know if that was the intent of the designers or not.</div><div>http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f64/slippyshortcakes/hatstats.jpg</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>another pic of me and my pet</div><div>http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f64/slippyshortcakes/pairhat.jpg</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>this is a pic just of the pet, so naturally it isnt the colors of the player one, but I think its my best picture for just showing the general form of the hat</div><div>http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f64/slippyshortcakes/pethat.jpg</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>and this is a pic of blackguard wearing the full swashie gear.  basically every slot of gear that is visible to other players is swashbuckler only.  So... if all goes according to plan, Illusionists should someday have a full set of gear also.  Our own gloves, robe, boots, pants, shoulders...</div><div>http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f64/slippyshortcakes/swashgear.jpg</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>so what do you guys think of the hat?  I think its a cool hat, its unique and well done.  But, I don't think it says "enchanter" like it should.  When people see it they usually ask me if it is a profession hat, becuase they are inclined to think its just a new mage hat graphic.  Everyone thinks its pretty cool looking though, and a little funny.</div><div> </div><div>To me it looks like a toned down jester or joker's hat.  They shortened the doodlebobs that hang off a joker's hat, and made it looks more regal and dignified.  I like the general form of it and the decoration and stuff, but personally i would like to see a bit more "joker" to it, so it looks more unique as an enchanter hat, like its not trying to fit in as a normal hat.  I'd say enchanters are the most oddball of the three mage types, and there is some humor in the way we work, so I wouldn't mind a little bit more oddity and humor in this hat, whether it ends up being an illusionist hat or not.</div><div> </div><div>Post your thoughts please <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div>P.S. I am not too knowledgable about html, or these boards.  Can someone explain to me what I need to do in order to make the pictures show?  I'll edit this post to fix it as soon as I know what to do.</div><p>Message Edited by ScamprinSlippy on <span class="date_text">02-09-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:54 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>LOL!</p><p>How about a Top Hat with a rotating spiralling disc on the front, ala the Ringmaster? :smileyvery-happy:</p><p>That hat does look nice, not exactly what I would picture for an Illusionist, but interesting just the same.</p><p>Better not run too fast though - judging by the drag that the cobra crest would cause, it would be pulled off your head at high speeds!</p><p>Deep</p>

<div></div><div></div><p>whoa now fellas, the cobra head is part of the staff i was wearing. thats the 2 handed staff from the Fountain of Life, what many people are calling the prismatic 2.0</p><p>perhaps i should take some more screenies without that staff equipped</p><p>oh, and getting the hat isn't too hard... its within a minute or two walking distance from the Kingdom of Sky call point, and its a pretty safe walk.  You can easily check to see if the mob is up. I took part in killing the mob 4 times, and she dropped it the 4th time, along with a master.</p><p>Message Edited by ScamprinSlippy on <span class="date_text">02-09-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:53 AM</span></p>

<div>Lol, that's funny.  The colors blend well, so everyone assumed it was part of the hat.  Without the snake thing, it's not bad.</div><div> </div><div>Thanks for the info/pics.</div><div> </div><div>Zebsen</div>

I'm sure there's a raid-dropped verison with the same graphics that has stats that are much better. And yes, this is very easy to get. I solo'd the mob with my beta-copied character at Level 60. It's a simple Level 61 heroic, no adds, it is aggro, however it is in a place where you can get to it solo.

<div></div><p>yeah it does look like an upholstery hat, i have described it to a few people as a three cornered pillow jammed under my hat <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Maybe that won't work, since they basically remove your hair when you have a hat showing.Oh well, I'm not all that big on mage hats to begin with, so /shrug.</blockquote>

<div>seriously, look at what an illusionist is in other RPGs, like D&D.. the spells they have and the role they can play.  then look back at eq2...  now look at the eq2 illusionist hat and tell me truthfuly that your supprised about that lack of creativity.</div><div> </div><div>i totally agree about the turkey on the head comment, my wife just got up from having a nap, i showed her the hat while i went to make her a cup of tea and i could hear her laughing for about 5 minutes solid... she even had to come find me to tell me how stupid it looked.</div><div> </div><div>i'll probably try and get the hat and wear it hidden.  the FT3 doesn't stack with my tunic, but i hate that ugly thing too...  nothing beats adventuring in pyjamas. this game has huge potiential, and many graphics do look cool. but the cloth armour stinks... unless you like the pyjama look =/</div><div> </div><div>sorry for moaning, i do so far too often and rarely with any structure... but i can't help it :smileysurprised:</div><div> </div><div>wish i could wear swashy armour...</div>

FT3 will stack with FT3, and you will gain 6 points of power regen, not 3, although besides the point, I see a lot of people stating this incorrectly.

I just realized that my last sentencemade no sense. I was not thinkingclearly and still fuming. I just reallyloathe the look of this hat. I thinkthat if they made it come to a single pointmaybe bend back into a curl it could actuallylook quite cool but the whole... sticking apillow case on your head never cut itas a holloween costume, and it doesn'tcut it as a Coercer hat in my book.I only hope that we can wear one of theother profession hats if we really can'tstand the look of the class hats we aregiven. I really hate to rant about this butseriously. . . Devs, put yourself in thathat and try to feel that you look uberor slick. Just try. . . not going to happen is it?-Unenchanted II<div></div>

The more I look at the hat . . .the more I think how "almost close" it is to beingcool. Like someone was working on it on thurdsay nightand they got a call from "the bob's" that they needed theenchanter hat finished by friday. Just imagine if the"bewb" looking rounded ends came up in sortadragon horns kind of a look or down into a curledtwin-cornacopish looking feel. I dunno. Ok. <div></div><p>I'd say the staff has a snake on it because the cobra head motif is all over the place in DoF, and this is a DoF themed weapon.  You basically get it by raiding a tomb or something.</p><p>And more importantly, its not just for chanters, its for all mages, and even some shadowknights are using it for the proc.</p>

Ugh...it's a drop from a single easily-soloable named??? With stats like that on it, that mob's gonna be perma-camped. Good luck getting anywhere near it to get your hat. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

It's a Level 61 or 62 Heroic Triple-up(don't remember). While being Level 60 with my gear on beta I took it out quite easily.
