<div></div><div>I am really ticked off to what they've done to the Illusionist class.  Maybe somebody can tell me if I am missing something here.  I am at level 23, been playing about a month.  Appearantly, with the upgrade they took away the Charm Spell (level 10, I had it at adept)  and now I have three identical spells dealing with Personae duplication (they are at different levels, 2 app. and 1 adept)  As for as I know, I can only cast one of these at a time, as they require 3 cencentration and I don't know that concentration can be improved, and I have 5 total.  In addition, psychic assailant is gone, replaced with a spell that does about 1/2 the damage.  As I haven't found any improvements on anything else, I think this really bites.  If I am missing something, please let me know.  My DPS wasn't exceptional before, so now it's going to take 10 minutes (or at least seem like it) to try to solo a mob, because almost all the time will be spent on locking/mez, etc.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Any advice/feedback appreciated.  Thanks</div><div> </div><p>Message Edited by KsTumbleweed on <span class="date_text">02-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:00 PM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div><div>I hate to say this, but you'll just have to get used to it or play a different class.</div><div> </div><div>The low levels changes simply make lower level Illusionist abilities consistent with higher level ones.</div><div> </div><div>We never used Charm anyway at higher levels  (it has a fairly low level cap), but get a pet instead.  And our single target damage spells do suck.  Coercers get charm but no pet.</div><div> </div><div>Instead of playing a Mage, then playing a Chanter, you're now an Illusionist all the way.</div><div> </div><div>Welcome to our world...</div><div> </div><div>For what it's worth, we actually solo reasonably well with that pet, probably better than with charm.  You shouldn't need to stun/nuke/mez much.  Send in the pet, use your stuns and stifles to keep it alive while you nuke and DoT.  Try it!</div><p>Message Edited by Belizarius on <span class="date_text">02-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:34 PM</span></p>

The loss of charm is trivial for Illusionists because of the level restriction on it.  The loss of ego shock was a huge nerf IMHO though. Kinda ticked about that one.<div></div>

<div></div><p>the loss of ego shock was not a nerf. we werent even supposed to have that spell, its for coercers. and so is stupefy. if u wanna use em, go play a coercer.</p><p> </p><p>although i do gotta say myself, if i wasnt in full DPS mode i always used ego shock over embolism, just for that added security</p>
