<div>/Taps his foot till it falls off. I would love a good reason to play an Illusionist.</div><div> </div><div> Dazler of Innothule</div>

<div>When DoF went live, they linked that with LU 13, which changed the playing field for illusionists (although only briefly before they nerfed us again). I'd like to think that they would link the next "fix" for illusionists to KoS release. That way even if the expansion isn't any good or unfinished, I'll at least have something to look forward to <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</div><div> </div><div>Seriously though, based on:</div><div>-the resources that KoS has to be drawing</div><div>-the low population/outcry from the enchanters</div><div>-little hints from BG and others stating "code change" and a few other long term items</div><div> </div><div>I would tell you not to get your hopes up on an enchanter fix for the expansion. So, to answer your question: buy it if you want level 60-70 content. Don't buy it expecting new illusionist fixes.</div><div> </div><div>Zebsen</div>
<div></div><p>I agree with Zebson.</p><p>I think we are what they want us to be. We are perhaps the premier group mage and a lame Raid chanter. </p><p>I am not holding my breath for fixes.</p><p>Leveling as an Illusionist is very fun, so I am looking forward to that.</p>
<div>because you'll get a new hat?</div>
so you can get a plant for your house that eats your PGT and SSY hanging on the wall in exchange for a potion that adds 50 mental?<div></div>

Well, I am not. There is no reason I would want to keep playing an ultranerfed class that devs only want to nerf more and never fix up for more than 6 weeks. I go "back" to my EQ enchanter, there are sure many things to do, including in raids.I'll keep checking from time to time if things are getting better and might come back for the prettier graphics and so, but I have the most extreme distrust in the current dev team so I don't expect much. And no, all my stuff is attuned as all non-n00bs know, and all my money went to Adept IIIs/Master Is.<div></div>

<div>Why should you buy it? Same reason any other class should, to progres to 70, experience the AAs and new content...</div><div> </div><div>I'm happy with the illusionist class, and the AAs can only serve to make us better.</div><div> </div>

<div>i wont buy it, im even thinking cancelling Station Access and just picking planetside up ..as i dont like how the classes work in eq2 (in general: 1. too many classes, 2. not versatile, 3. feeling gimped, 4. overpowered melees, as they have same/more dps, same/more utility AND have decent armor. Wearing VLA and dying in 2 hits doesnt give you more power in exchange..</div><div> </div><div>further i dont have any hope left for a fix for enchanters as it would require to chance the game itself cos they would have to provide content were we actually could shine. And this will lead to some sort of required CC and they will never do that <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. Pitty that almost everyclass has some sort of CC ability and it doesnt get used. I fail to see why CC cant be made in some cases a requirement, considering almost every class can do - to some degree - CC. </div><div> </div><div>And about requirements: healer is a requirement, a tank too, and dps too. Why not utility/cc ?</div><div> </div><div> </div>

None of those is a <i>requirement</i> in normal play; any 2 will make an effective group, <i>provided the group members <u>all</u> know how to play their class</i>. I have been in very effective groups consisting of tank/CC, tank/DPS, healer/CC, Healer/DPS, and several other combinations.Regarding the expansion, I can give one reason to pick it up, particularly if you're one of the unfortunates like myself, barred by their location from getting broadband: the included copy of the original game. Given the choice between an up-to-date-as-of-KoS edition or facing 48+ hours updating the 1.0 copy I have now should anything ever happen to my computer, it's a no-brainer. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></font></span><div></div>
