<div></div><div></div><div><div>Hey all,</div><div> </div><div>I browse these boards pretty often, as I often wonder why so little attention is paid to our class by the devs. Every patch note I see, illusionists seem to be the only class lacking when a fix or patch is implemented. I do hope they're reading here, however. As I've seen some good suggestions come up on how to fix our class to be more desirable. I also have some of my own.</div><div> </div><div>I currently play a 60 Illusionist on Shadowhaven, and to put my 2 cents in, here are the following abilities I think need some attention. I'm not one of those "make be the best class!" kind of people, so I think these suggestions should be taken seriously...to increase the viability of our class.</div><div> </div><div>I'm a rare breed on my server, and I think the current state of my class is a good indication why. So, here goes:</div><div> </div><div><strong>Prismatic Havoc:</strong> Make this targetable on any player in raid, don't limit it to group only. Frequently I am grouped with casters for Power Regen, perhaps a bard as well, who isn't always meleeing. I'm usually manually assisting on the targeted encounter, therefore having Prismatic Havoc land on the MT via implied targetting would ensure it procs.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Spellshield:</strong> Was useful, for a very brief period of time. Now it's laughable. Change this perhaps so it's a temporary buff vs all. negative spell effects. Say +2000 (or whatever) to divine/magic/fire/cold etc. and it would reflect a smaller percentage of the incoming damage to boot. Increase it's recurring mana cost on the enchanter so it remains a useful, <strong>situational</strong> spell.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Savante</strong>: Rarely, if ever use this. A shame for such a nice spell. I would increase it's duration. Or, perhaps make it a proc like prismatic havoc, so the next 3 casts have a chance to -increase- the mana of the caster.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Devour Hope</strong>: Currently our -only- useful debuff. It would be far more effective if it was a. expanded to land on an entire encounter, and b. have it's damage component removed (yes, removed!). Winds of Tashania anyone? Miss this alot in the enchanter class, the ability to debuff before I mezz.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Devitalizing Stare</strong>: Again, a spell with great potential, but the return is marginal at best. I don't see the groups mana pools even <strong>move</strong>. The recast is too long, and the amount of mana sent back to the group is nothing. Shorten the recast, and increase the return.</div><div> </div><div>Our mana drain line:</div><div> </div><div><strong>Sap will:</strong> useful spell for the stun component soloing or grouping. But the spell is <strong>useless </strong>on raids. Make the spell do what it's name implies. Perhaps make it a moderate debuff to stamina/atk speed/strength.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Drain Thought:</strong> Again, marginally useful while soloing, useless on raids. Following the same line of thought, perhaps make this another debuff: Lower the mobs disruption/subjugation/Wisdom.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Blink/Barrier of Intellect:</strong> These were great de-aggro abilities when we got them, say 20 levels ago. Why is there no upgrade to this line? Make them white, and have them scalable in effectiveness with level.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Mana Cloak:</strong> Same thought process here. Another great mana regen ability that never got improved with level.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Our pet line</strong>: as it stands, my pet is now nothing more than a distraction to the mob. Which, actually, does have it's benefits. But I would never use him in a raid. Can we get these things to some decent DPS? On another note, why do each of our pet spells never cap out in level? This is confusing from a mechanical perspective.</div><div> </div><div>That's about all I have for now. I would love some feedback.</div></div><p>Message Edited by ManglerEmissary on <span class="date_text">01-15-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:32 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>Havoc, raid castable, yes, rest meh.</p><p>Spellshield, needs to be changed that's interesting though</p><p>Savante, is fine the way it is, I find myself using it a lot more as I am no longer forgetting it.</p><p>Devour Hope, is not our only debuff, we also have dismay.  I think it's fine the way it is honestly.</p><p>Stare, also fine for longer fights.</p><p>Mana-drains need to be changed into something effective or useful.</p><p>Mana cloak is already an awesome spell.</p><p>Personae is for soloing, not for grouping/raiding, the way it is now is fine.</p><p>Our De-aggro skills are useless and will remain that way.</p>

<div></div><p> I'm aggre in the most of points., the class must be fixed., and fixed thw way it must be., no giving us amazing dps., but making illusionist useful and importants at raids., actualy solo has been improbes with the pet and group is kool., but for raid whe are useless., because spellshield is for group prismatic havoc is for goup only., insight is just for group., mana cloack is just for group.,</p>
