with very few exceptions i would say NO.

in solo situation our pet is good for 3 things: dps, unpredictable CC (root/stun...), katalysator for Havoc.

in raid situation CC from our pet is useless and for Havoc i prefer a real melee. leaves dps.

when fighting multi mob encounter i can get considerably more dps from spending my con slots on buffs than on personae.

when fighting single mob (usually boss mobs) they often times have a nasty AE which will reduce the usefulness of the personae.

i have used pet in a very few occasions on raids when i had no melee in group and at the same time we got like 3 illu and the others covered dynamism. very rare situation though.

I almost never have pet out for a raid. Not only is it more efficient DPS wise to use concentration slots for damage buffs haste/dyna, but most of the spells the pet will cast, an epic mob will be immune to anyhow. Furthermore, a pet will die in a hurry if mob has an AOE

yeah, tried a pet out last night on Fist.... survived about 10 secs So left him dead and just buffed all the mages with dynamism
