Hi level 58+ illusionists, I have 3 questions about spellshield. hope you guys can help me out.1. current spellshield has 100% chance to reflect lev 58 spell at a % of caster level, and if we level up more the % reduces, like at level 59 its 93% chance of reflecting a level 59 spell, and I am wondering after the new patch come out mobs all 70 and at the rate of % deduction per level our spellshield desc will be 16% chance of reflecting a level 70 spell since there wont be an upgrade in level 70 according to 14 level updates2. what does it mean by reflecting a level 58 spell? I have 100% chance to reflect a spell that a level 58 mob casts or 100% chance to reflect a spell that is below 59 itself, like if a 59 mob learned a new spell and it wont be 100% chance reflecting.3. I dont quite understand they way they calculate the reflections, lets say when a mob cast a spell that does 1k damage on me, do I calculate my resistance first? that I dont really need the spellshield to reflect the spell if my high enough to resist it? or just reflect spell that casted on you ignore the resistance and reflect back to the caster. lets say adept 1 version reflects 79% damage back and it should be 790 damage on the attacker, and do we count the attackers mitigation to the damage again? it will be suck if a 1k nuke on us and our resistance made it only deals 600 damage on ourselves and reflect back at 79% of 600 that is 470ish and deduct the resistance on the attacker again and made it do 100 damage off a 1k nuke.thanks a lot I hope you guys can understand what I wrote.<div></div>
<div></div><p>the % chance is based on the lvl of the mob, not on the lvl of the spell. the higher the mob the more unlikely we are able to reflect spell it casts.</p><p>the damage that gets reflected is independant from your resists and mitigation. but it will get toned down siginificantly. i dont have hard numbers and as spellshield doesnt reflect most spells anyways, i hardly pay attention anymore, but last i checked the reflected damage was only about 10% or so of the original spell the mob had cast.</p>

Was in a MT group against Barakah of the Day, spellshield never went down till the tank did. Same with Urzyd the Undying. Completely useless spell.

<DIV>the reflected spell acts as if the person who had spellshield on casted it. so if u cast spellshield on some1 else, and a spell gets reflected off him, he gets credit for the spell not u</DIV>

Actually this spell is very useful in PVP. In PVE its just not really worth a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]. In a raid its worthless.
