specialized training

i'm new to the enchanter class, and just dinged 14. i have a question about the specialized training that is offered. looks like i have the option for stronger versions of fascinate, gloom, ego shock and mind blast (i think). i'm leaning towards taking fascinate, since i'm in a very small guild, and likely to be going solo most of the time. does anyone have any reccomendations about the choices? in particular, does the mez from fascinate run on the same time, or overlap with entrance, which i will be getting in my 20's? any help and advice would be appreciated. lullabye on oggok<div></div>

Personally, I would pick gloom.  I never had a problem with fascinate adept 1.  Ego Shock is what I picked orignally, but it gets upgraded in your early 20s.  Since gloom does not get upgraded until your late 20s, you get the most distance out of it. <div></div>

<DIV>Ego Shock still works at level 60.  It is an excellent spell for CC.  It lands on Epics...though with recent nerfing does not stay long.  All upgrades to this spell are Mez and not Root.  It is your only Root/Nuke.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Only choice at 14 is Ego Shock IMO.  Either now or when you respec later, you want it down the road.</DIV>

/agree with SunTsu.It's a great 2nd root -- the nuke/mezzes that share the same timer aren't terribly useful at all for CC, given how many other mez options we have.At your level Gloom might actually more useful for damage, but in the long run Ego Shock is definitely the best choice.<div></div>

<P>fascinate is on the same timer as entrance.</P> <P>like the posters above i think ego shock in the long run is the best choice cause unlike coercer we do not get the spell upgraded in this form at higher lvl. but most likely you will do a respec on your traits at higher lvl anyways and it would be early enough to pick it later.</P> <P>if you are going to solo a lot i would recommend to go with a damage spell for now and not with the mez. take the one you are using the most atm and fits best with your playstyle. for expample there would not be much point to go with ego shock if this is a spell you hardly use. you cannot really go wrong with your choice as you will get your skill set replaced after lvl 20 with upgrades that are compareable or better than your master 2 usually.</P>
