This is a new policy : remove the useful things, and replace with lots of useless ones. Our next great "improvement" will make raid NPCs go pink.<div></div>

<DIV> <P>in general the change sounds good and useful to me, will much depend though what sony considers to be a "great" increase. </P> <P>our great INT buff before was less than what fury and troub could buff permanent. so if the great increase in casting techniques is also going to be less than what troub and warlock can buff permanent the short duration on the spell would not be justified.</P> <P>100 INT atm increase spell damage by about 10%. so a chanter nuke would go from 400 dmg to 440. no group would notice this. wizard ice comet would go from 4000 to 4400. lets be honest, thats not that great either, considering that other classes can boost it to 7000+ by debuff stacking. compared to other short duration buffs our Fleeting line has been not much more than a fluff spell that gave us the feeling to enhance the group.</P> <P>if the changed spell is actually going to work how its supposed to work, it will reduce resists and fizzles. </P> <P>not a big deal on blue or white con mobs, but very nice when fighting higher level stuff. which means on blue/white con mobs we will lose out a bit dps. these are usually fights that are easy won anyways. on yellow con mobs it should be about even, on orange con mobs dps should be higher due to less out right resists. these are also the fights where every bit can actually make the difference. and not only every bit dps, but also every silly fizzle of a healer and - for enchanter even more important - resists to our stun / stifle / mez. if i couldnt mez that blue ^^^add it would usually be no problem. but if i cannot mez or stun or debuff that orange con mob it may indeed make some difference.</P> <P>this will not only benefit high lvl player and will not only benefit raiders. this will also benefit lower lvl enchanter and maybe even more as they are much more likely to be in groups fighting mobs high above their lvl than any lvl 60 enchanter.</P></DIV>

<div></div>Hopefully a "great increase" is about the same magnitude as a "slight decrease." <span><img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></span> <div></div>

<DIV>This sounds really useful to me, but of course it depends on the details.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I love mezzing higher lev mobs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When mezzing high levels, for me the big challenge is the first mez.  After it lands, I can just keep recasting the mez to refresh till it lands.  However, if it doesn't land in the first place, the group will often wipe.  If I could cast Fleeting to get the start mez to land, that would be fantastic ... the group might be able to kill the unmezzed mob(s) before it expired, or I could just chain-cast the remez till it stuck.  And of course, I'd make sure to refresh the mez before Fleeting expired.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>These kind of buffs make a massive difference.  I was in a group mezzing the lev 62 adds for CQ4 when only lev 52 ... I was getting mezzes to land about one in six times ... if that.</DIV> <DIV>More recently I was mezzing lev 65's in Poets Palace when lev 56, with a lev 59 Troubie buff.  Amazing buff!!!  Most of my mezzes were landing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Elleii, 57 Illusionist, Antonia Bayle</DIV>

And the day Lockeye sees us casting our secondary mez or a nuke while running they will remove this option. <div></div>
