<div></div>My MASTER 1 root will not hold a green v ten levels below me. "Slight chance to break" my foot. I am so ticked right now. I was taking a "wait and see" approach to this patch. What was Sony thinking? And also, why all the stealth nerfs! They should at least have the courage to post all the nerfs to our class so people can see them. <div></div>

<DIV>I stopped playing and just put up my trader. This is rediculous. My adept 3 root broke each and every encounter wih one up, even con solo mobs. We used to be the toughest class to solo, had 2 months to see what true soloing was about, and now we are back to the beginning. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Glad I hit 60 before this nerf. I feel for all that are still xp'ing. </DIV>

<P>I played my coercer for about an hour. Was looking forward to getting level 45 tonight. But after dying 3 times to root breaking and dreadful awe time reduction messing me up, I put up my trader and called it a night. I hope they fix this, because their "small" chance of it breaking is more like frequently breaking, making root worthless.</P> <P> </P> <P>Pondering if I should quit EQ2 again or try rolling up a different toon that they'd probably just nerf when I start having fun on it.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

They need to know about this asap though. My theory is that "small chance of breaking" is based on the spell level (47) for teminal root. A level 47 illusionist can't hit for 650 points (prismatic havoc) and if they are hitting for 650 dps on a second to second basis, then yes, the root should break. </P> <P>When I solo, I average around 500 dps and in group, around 350 dps. Chanters have very high dps now when well equipped and with spell upgrades. I can understand them wanting to make our root a little less stable, because it is a real snoozer to nuke 50^^^ mobs at 35 meters in permfrost or sol eye when you know that it will never break because the mob is deeeep green. </P> <P>I have never posted anything on these boards but I had to come here today. This Sh*t is seriously broken. I can't even use root to crowd control, like root and run away when I get aggro from debuffing a mob. As soon as the mob hits me, my Adept III pet hits it and root is gone. I've had the root disappear from maintained spell window before my 0.5 second recover time is up and on to next spell in cue. </P> <P>Completely unfair and unwarranted. So the prerevamp root went live regardless...Oh well, gonna harvest some rares and get agi and sta gear made.
<P>Ok, well trying to solo, i wasted over 50 casts of root over a couple hours. Longest one lasted ~5 seconds, was a white con lvl 50 solo mob, and only my pet was on it. If i had pet + construct, or a dot or 2, usually would be broken before the casting animation was done. I dont solo heroics, i solo solo mobs. Sometimes pairs of single downs, get an add here and there, but i am an enchanter, i can handle adds. Well i could. Without root, and no way to deaggro, or get my pet to aggro, after i mezzed something twice, it was glued to me permanently. Stun is an option, except the durations on the stuns all got shortened too.</P> <P>Some might think its funny, that as a CC class, i am now more worried about getting an add then anyone else. Soo, every other class can successfully kill Grey Level 48 Heroics at 60, right?Welp, we can't.So I went into Miragul's Managerie to do some quick testing of the root-nerf. Cast root, cast brainburst, broken root, wait for recast, cast root again, a tic from brainburst breaks it after the 2nd tic.Lovely. A Master I root, and I feel it's WORSE than pre-revamp. Our root pre-revamp was better than this.
