I state that i can only speak for coercers because i don't know enough about your abilities to speak for you guys. The thread is in the spells and abilities forum. its probably pointless...but who knows. <div></div>

They need to leave our root alone, or else give us more dps or something. This will put us back to where we were before the combat upgrade....I don't get it... <div></div>

Agree. This just seems like it will just take us back to pre-cu solo'ablity and worse and i for one will finally admit defeat and hang up my chanter and play something else. Going back to pre-cu is not an option for me.I am starting to believe SoE just dont want chanters in the game. All this makes me so angry after all the effort i've put into my chanter. I'm sorry if i posted this several times in different boards and threads but it seems obvious SoE are not listening to us or they would start with whats wrong with our class not with the nerfing the root.Damil, 57 AfkBuffbot, Splitpaw

They need to know about this asap though. My theory is that "small chance of breaking" is based on the spell level (47) for teminal root. A level 47 illusionist can't hit for 650 points (prismatic havoc) and if they are hitting for 650 dps on a second to second basis, then yes, the root should break. </P> <P>When I solo, I average around 500 dps and in group, around 350 dps. Chanters have very high dps now when well equipped and with spell upgrades. I can understand them wanting to make our root a little less stable, because it is a real snoozer to nuke 50^^^ mobs at 35 meters in permfrost or sol eye when you know that it will never break because the mob is deeeep green. </P> <P>I have never posted anything on these boards but I had to come here today. This Sh*t is seriously broken. I can't even use root to crowd control, like root and run away when I get aggro from debuffing a mob. <DIV>If the issue is heroics, make the change so that root can drop from damage with heroics. Solo content shouldnt have a double whammy chance to break root, while sorcerors still have only break on damage. The whole premise is wrong, in actual use, the crowd control classes have a less effective root. Theirs breaks on damage, but they can 2 or 3 shot a mob, 2 or 3 shots to break. Ours can break still on resists, as well as on damage, and it takes how many spells to kill a solo mob of equal level? At 50, i nuke for 350 dd. I'd die of old age before i killed something. So i stack pets (personae and construct), and stack dots (withering, lobo, color shower, and psychotic spectrum, i am lvl 50). From that perspective, the quicker damage on color shower is also a nerf, beyond the 25% less duration of stifle.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just sillyness.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Read the reasoning for the change too. Lockeye "saw" a coercer kill 2 heroic ^^^ while mezzing 2 other seperate encounters, and so we all get nerfed. Watch a bruiser do it, and its all working as intended...</DIV>

Seeing that we've got armor like a warlock/wizard, but the our dps is lower than of a platemail tank, a solo-con doubleup our level will kill us in 1 or 2 hits when they break the root, which they do all the time thanks to most of our DoT attacks.</P> <P>Enchanters having the best root in the game makes sense because of the lack of dps. A wizzy/warlock can rely on their massive amounts of firepower to keep them alive. What can we rely on after we've landed 4 DoTs on a mob? Mezz don't work since they continously take damage. Root don't work for the same reason now... Our pet does not hold aggro without the root alas making it completely useless.</P> <P>All this has been said previously on the test feedback forums, and probably reached Sony from the test server in-game /bug /feedback reports too, but do they listen or even care?</P> <P>I don't usually complain on forums, but this is outrageous.
