<DIV>I mentioned this in my previous thread but forgot to mention my spells lvs. Ive parsed mysefl inside out tried every combonation and can not seem to hit this legendary 350dps. Of course if I was parsing myself and used the monk/brawler bug well then yeah i could. My spells are all adept3 or master1 or 2 , my gear is decent with an avg group buffed int of between 350-400. Im generally hitting 250dps if I try like hell to for dmg, If im actually power draining stunning mezzing and stifling Im hitting lower 175-200ish. Id like to see other folks post thier DPS, Int, and lv of spells they have all on average obviously. Feedback would be helpful, just trying to maximize my dmg uusaly im not the one parsing so my melee proc isnt getting counted as my own dmg along with my spell proc, could that in itself be the difference? TY in advance</DIV>

I dont parse my own dps, but someone in my group did last night, while killing the nameds in Scornfeather's Roost. On the level 58 nameds I averaged around 200dps.I would guess that our dps would be much higher on multi-mob encounter where we can use ae spells / dots.<div></div>

<DIV>At level 53, i was able to pump out a constant 300-350 DPS on single ^^^ mobs with the following strategy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1 - Have another mage in group to buff int, and get as much int gear as u can. Should be at least over 300 int without your own buffs.</DIV> <DIV>2 - Bring out your pet. Cast transient sentiment, and while its up (making sure ur int is capped) cast dynamism on you and your pet.</DIV> <DIV>3 - Start casting spells in this order:</DIV> <DIV> Prismatic Strife</DIV> <DIV> <DIV> Scorching Beam</DIV> <DIV> <DIV> Color Shower</DIV> <DIV> <DIV> Scorching Beam</DIV> <DIV> <DIV> Nightmare</DIV> <DIV> <DIV> Lobotomize</DIV> <DIV> <DIV> Scorching Beam</DIV> <DIV>The basic idea is that ur highest DPS spells (other than dynamism) are Pris Strife, Scorching beam, and Color Shower, and these three spells should be casted whenever they are up. And then when none are up u cast lobotomize and nightmare just to get a chance to proc dynamism on those. Also, if u cast the other weaker aoe (cant remember the name right now) u get 2 chances to proc dynamism with each spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So basically, just cast the highest damage spells, and maximize the chances you have f procing dynamism.</DIV></DIV></DIV></DIV></DIV></DIV></DIV>
At 60(but mentored to 59), for an hour straight of pulling(no stops for power at all), I get about 280dps. Of course, I had a fury in my group, so my INT was capped. I do NOT use Color Shower unless there are 3 or more mobs in an encounter due to power usage. Yes more dps, but in the long run, lowered dps because of power shortage. If I am going to go all-out dps on a single target, I can hit probably 400 using color shower, and what not, however if you are in a strict grind group, where power IS a concern(which I'm sure it will be), then you don't want to use color shower unless there is an encounter of 3 or more, because otherwise it is just a waste of power. This was the only time I parsed my dps for an hour(this is not a per fight dps of 280, but a total of an hour roughly that got me 280dps). The group was 56 Warden, 56 Fury, 56 Dirge, 59/60 Guardian, and 59/60 Monk. I started out mentoring the Guardian(monk was closer to 60 at the time, 3% vs. 7%). The Guardian was tanking, and the monk was being DPS. I had the Dirge, and Guardian with legerity, and myself with dynamism. I would Pris Havoc the Guardian, brainburst, devour hope, shimmering beam, embolism, shimmering beam, psych spectr, shimmering beam(with HOs tossed in between) on single target encounters. With 2 mob encounters I would open up with psych spectr, and lay dots on the 2nd mob, and nuke the first. In 3 mob encounters, color shower, then psych spectr, then nuke around. When we were bored, which is included in this, we would pull 4 encounters at once, and have illusory allies tank them all for 15 seconds while we attempted to burn them down. Even in this group, with the dirge having Adept 3 Bria's whatever(the lv55 bard regen), I was still running low on power, and would occasinaly also cast essence siphon, manastone, and devitalizing stare. I had 31(Insight M1), 32(Bria's lv55 Adp3), 12(Prismatic), 7(Cryptic Boots), 6(level based regen), plus 10(I think there were 2 times I took the 5 in-combat regen options) for power regen, so 88 in-combat power regen. Even when I was out of combat I had Tier 6 drink up(90), but I was still not out of combat but for about 10-15 seconds at a time running around in the giant camp killing mobs.I have all my Tier 5 spells Master 1(except the Personae), and all my damage Tier 6 spell Adept 3.Remember, in a pure-grind group, consisent dps over an hour is more important than spike dps vs. mobs every minute. I may get bored enough to do another grind group to help out some guildies again some other time.

I've posted a few times with parses and strategies for achieving high DPS. To save you a little trouble, here's one you'll probably want to look at: <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=26&message.id=7771#M7771" target=_blank>http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=26&message.id=7771#M7771</a> Those are solo parses, but you'll notice that later on in the thread I used the same techniques in a group and had similar results. Keep in mind that the current parsers do not correctly attribute much of our damage. Specifically: our dopple, construct, and dynamism. To get an accurate value for your DPS output, you'll have to manually figure it out. For the record, prismatic strife IS correctly attributed to us. <div></div>

<P>TY all who have posted so far, and Mills is correct if we are doing the parsing(im pretty positive) but if someone else is doing the parsing the proc is registered as their dmg (at least with combat stats) I could be wrong but was almost certain, Ill experiment with it tonight and see while I have a groupmate parse.</P> <P>Unfortunatly personae construct and dyna doesn't register, man Im an enchanter not a mathematician hheheheheh=p</P>

I have always noticed that damage caused by Dynamism on other players registers as there DPS and not my own. Another reason why I always put dynamism on MT in a raid. All though I always wondered how much it really mattered. <div></div>

For the record, prismatic strife IS correctly attributed to us.<BR> <DIV> <HR> </DIV> <DIV>that is because if you look at the combate logs we are the ones doing the damage not the the person that the spell is cast on. "Mena's Prismatic strife hits for xxx" or something to that effect no matter who I cast the spell on.</DIV>

<DIV>I can consistantly get 350-450 dps at lvl54 against blue ^^^ targets but it is not power-efficient to do so. This is throwing every trick in the bag at them which means burning down a lot of your power. If I were in a good grind group, I'm happy at hitting 250ish dps on a steady basis. This is with Ad3 Insight (27) + Prismatic (12) + GEB (5) + RoI (7) + Level (5) + Traits (10) = 56ppt regen + a bard if we have one. Basically having a bard will allow me to up my dps about 30ish by casting Color Shower on a regular basis (even single-target mobs).</DIV>
