<DIV>Well now you can!  Bring out spellshield, then take on spiregaze in Silent City.  Guess who's coming home to save you, spiregaze himself!</DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://www.physics.uc.edu/~pinskie/spiregaze.jpg"></DIV>

<DIV>I remember that being broadcast over the illu chat channel while I was afk.  How long did it last?  End-result was a wipe?</DIV>

<blockquote><hr>Jaxidian wrote:<DIV>I remember that being broadcast over the illu chat channel while I was afk.  How long did it last?  End-result was a wipe?</DIV><hr></blockquote>Well, the spell lasted 15 minutes(or would have), but we wanted to see how powerful the charm was, so we sent spiregaze after another groupx2 encounter, suffice to say, spiregaze got eaten alive because he was downtiered to a no-arrow mob with barely any health, though he did quite a lot of damage for being no-arrows(200-500 a hit, plus I wonder if he would charm more mobs for us, lol). Would have tried it more, but once he died, he didn't give us a chest <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and he also didn't repop, plus this was our last pull of him for the night(had tried 4 different ways before), but still we were all laughing after seeing it charm him. We were jokingly going to use him as our groups 3 and 4 after we charmed him, not knowing that the charm would actually work on him. But hey, it charmed him, and probably could make that epic 1-groupable(charm him, fight way back to front, have a heroic mob nearly kill spiregaze, then drop charm, kill spiregaze.

How long did the charm actually last before he died? I'd be extremely surprised if you got it to last the entire duration, unless mobs get an unbreakable charm (which is quite possible I suppose). Still pretty funny though. PigLick <div></div>

But next time we go down there, we plan on testing it out more, and bringing it out to the front door to freak people out.

<DIV>Hahaha... that is awesome!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I had a question about Spellshield, but I think this answers it... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My question was: does the hostile spell actually get absorbed first before it's reflected, or is it simply just turned back onto the enemy?  E.g... if I cast it on the MT, will he take damage from the hostile spells BEFORE they get reflected?  Because if not, this could be a HUGE assistance to a group/raid for its defensive capabilites.  The reflected damage is nice, but not as nice as keeping the raid MT alive when he would have otherwise gone down!  </DIV>

Unfortunately, when you charm a mob and it gets downtiered, the actual damage taken is remembered when the charm breaks, and not the %. For example, say the mob had 1000hp as an heroic triple up arrow mob. You charm it, and it gets downtiered to a no arrow mob with 100hp. You then do 90hp damage, bringing it to 10% health. When charm breaks, it now has a total hitpoints of 1000 again, but still only has 90hp of damage, and its no longer at 10% (10/100) health but at 91% (910/1000) health.Of course this example is exaggerated, I just picked numbers that were easy to work with.</span>Anyway, grats on charming an epic mob! I'm sure he would have made one hell of a pet, if only for his dps!<div></div><p>Message Edited by Dalden on <span class=date_text>10-13-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:12 AM</span>

Was trying it on borxx last night(using it to find the sweet spot behind him). The reflection reflected and hit for 30 damage, yay!

<DIV>well we forgot to tell an enc to note spellshield the tank, ended up charming spiregaze..but we did verify that if u wait till spiregaze's charm timer refreshes, it can charm another mob of its own..so ina couple minutes our guardian now had spiregaze as a pet and spiregaze's pet "a repulsor sentinel" epicx2 as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and the repulsor sentinels dmg wasnt nerfed i think lol forgot to check</DIV>
