<DIV>Just curious to hear other peoples experiences with psotrevamp dismay now, from some parses ive checked with master1 dismay (-36 melee) it seems to haphazardly have an effect. This could be due to the fact mobs dying so fast it doesnt have enuf melee attacks to get a good sample, but im just not seeing an impressive reduction in mob dps like i washoping for, especially on epic old world contested it didnt seem to lower the dps at all. Anyone els etoy with it?</DIV>

<P>The last couple nights I have been with a 52 Pally doing 58 Giants.  If I did not have the mob both stifled and Dismayed he dropped very quickly.</P> <P>Not sure how much it helps in regular groups, but if you have a low tank or are using a pet tank it is useful.</P>

I think of dismay like this. I have the master version which is a 36 reduction to all melee skills. If you are fighting a level 53 Giant and cast dismay, then it becomes a level 49.4 mob (MELEE ONLY). Thus, making it easier for a tank to mitigate all of the damage. I found that we were unable to take meathooks until I had dismay cast on him the entire raid. He is straight melee. Of course, this was with a 52 tank. Alot of these DOF raids/named, if you have a 55+ tank its so much easier. <div></div>

<div></div>So what the heck does that mean exactly. If you are a level 50 tanking a level 50 mob. You reduce its crushing by 36. wouldnt that act as if the mob was a level 47 when it came to crushing? What makes a level 50 tank different from a level 51. The resists are different but....there slashing skill would be 255 as opposed to 250? Exactly. This could be said another way : if you are a level 51 fighter who didn't use a skill (let's say slashing, because you had a good blunt weapon), since level 48, you have the same slashing skill as a level 48 fighter, but you hit better because you are level 51. How much better ? The efficiency of Dismay resides in this difference (is actually opposite to this difference), and I hope the fighter forums will give us some clues about it.The fact is, the way all fighters are hit with less mitigation and avoidance efficiency, Dismay makes a visible difference during the fights, my guardian groupmate usually stays "one color better" with Dismay on while fighting single ^^^ encounters. Of course, I prefer to keep stun/stifle cycle on every such encounters, but even then the damage output of those encounters is still high and Dismay helps much.This is a way our role didn't change with the CU : we make impossible (too hard hitting) encounters possible.<div></div>

<DIV>can someone post a parse of a fight against an epic while dismay is on and off? I know this isnt an easy thing to do, and a lot of other debuffs and such could skew the results. But i am just not seeing it make an iota of a difference on a x4 tree or on the x4s sentinels in majdul, and while it may have made a difference on a x2 unnamed golem in silent city i think it was more due to the fact the fighter changed his stance as he fought. I wanna make sure we have proof this spell is working, particularly on epics, rather than going off feelings and hunches. Especially now that stifles do not effect epics, this spell is potentially our most powerful debuff on epics, and in case you havent figured it out, debuffs are far more critical to the raid game now than they were prerevamp. </DIV> <DIV>So, if i manage to get a nice one  done i'll post it but if anyone can before me please post a log showing results with dismay. thanks!</DIV>
