<DIV>The way our class has developed, I must say that Erudite magic aura sight is very valuable racial trait for illusionists.  Not essential by any means if you are an observant player, but very nice to have.  The ability to instantly see whether a mob is a mage, priest or melee, based on the color of its aura, is really useful in deciding how to fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For example, you might use dismay to debuff a melee versus stifle to debuff a caster, if you dont feel like using both.  You might decide stifle or interrupt is more important on a healer mob, near the end of its useful life.  If you are deciding whether to bother mezzing within the encounter to help the healer, that mob with a blue aura (a mage) is a good bet to take out of the fight.  If you are soloing a single pull mob with root tactics, you might decide to send in the personae versus keep him back, depending on whether the mob is a melee or a caster.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This didnt seem that useful before the recent updates, but I am finding it more useful now.  Something for folks rolling a new illusionist to consider.</DIV>

This sounds interesting but alot of times you can tell what a mob is by the name or what weapon it is holding. <div></div>

<DIV>actually sometimes just the name of the mobs tells it all......."an Ikro Kromise Protector" does melee...."a Kromise Curn Templar" gee i wonder <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>regardless if most of the time the name or weapon tells you enough to judge class, there are times where they do not and that is when it is useful.  i wish there was a buff for us on the coercer side of the proverbial fence that gave us aura vision.  if i had racial night vision i would offer to gladly trade my ultravision from unveil for auravision. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and i would definitely trade aqua vision for it... probably even pay extra.</DIV>

<DIV>dont get me wrong, i do think its useful =) just not THAT useful....and either way, after fighting a mob once, if it casts a spell while rooted, then you know its a caster. and any mob with that name is a caster. so now u know to stifle that mob. and if it doesnt cast anything while rooted, then its just melee. and when in groups, even if the mob is a caster, dismay STILL helps cuz even the casters have an autoattack.</DIV>

The silence on my root breaks as soon as any damage is done to the mob. I would think its same with yours. So they are still able to cast while rooted unless you just park them and dont intend to kill them.

This vision allows me to know which mobs to root/nuke and which to root/stifle/nuke just by invissing over, switching on sight, and taking a gander.  Useful for when you are up against "a amorphous blob" and don't really want to find out at the last second it's a wizard when it lands a 2k spell on you. <div></div>
