How useful is this to illusionists? Just found one for the first time on Crushbone and was hoping for some "insight" to it's worth <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

it is the best, it will be even more valuable once the add-on comes out and the level cap is raised.  I would buy it, it is one of the more useful spells to upgrade imo.  Especially with the recent changes to flowing thought items <div></div>

Sell it for 20pp, no less. If multiple interested, start a bidding war. You WILL be able to sell it for loads of cash, as any raiding guild will want to buy it from you for their Illusionist, and will have the money to do so.

<DIV>20pp? Hardly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Raiding guilds already see those often enough for their enchanters so it's not an issue for them to get the drop.  Frankly, there just aren't enough 48+ enchanters to go around, maybe 8-10 total (I + C) on any given server.  Illisionist spells just flat out don't sell at much more than 1pp ever for anything.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Heck, I bought my copy for 75gp - after it sat on the market for a week - and that's the 2nd most I've ever paid for a master (and I've got 6).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Toepeg</DIV> <DIV>Oggok</DIV>

I think you lucked out ToePeg.  I know I and a few other illusionists would pay up to 20pp for it.

Just wanted to point out that it was marked as an item discovery when looted, so I am not sure if it is the first on the server. Which makes pricing hard if indeed we were to sell it. <div></div>

I wouldnt ,sure if you got lots of plat to squander but i dont ,20pp for any spell is absurd and how many illusionists is there even in this game 45 plus lucky if there is 200.

I would not spend 20p on Insight. Why is this? Because my guild won't back me up and buy it if it appeared. They've already stated that they wouldnt pay more than 3p of it and any more of it they payed I would either be charged dkp or have to pay every penny of it back as soon as I got the money. This is the top guild on Highkeep. How many other high end guilds view Illusionists worth so little, I don't know, but thats how it is here. I would personally pay 10p max for this spell if it were offered to me, but in the case that there are so few Illusionists on Highkeep (2 lvl50's and counting...) I would pay around 5p since I've payed anywhere from 50g to 2p on any other t5 master thats appeared on the broker. I have 8 t5 masters, 6 of which I had to buy using personal money and the other 2 dropping off raids and I still had to spend dkp for them even though I'm the only Illusionist in the guild. Anyway, those are my thoughts on the matter. If there was more competition on the server, then my views would be different. <a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=136679110" target=_blank>Saden</a> 50 Illusionist Officer of <a href="http://www.eq2genesis.com/" target=_blank>Genesis</a> Highkeep <div></div>

Yeah, I really don't view this master as a common drop by any means.  You getting the tag for the discovery just emphasizes that.  Couple it's uncommonality with one of the most if not THE most used spells by illusionists, it is worth a fair chunk.  However, as you can tell by the responses, finding someone willing to pay that amount may be a different matter.  It depends how patient you are I suppose, or how many illies you have on the server with some cash.

If you want the most bang for your buck, you should target a guild as opposed to an individual. If a high end guild has the resources to buy it, this is prob the(or one of the) single most beneficial spells(along with coercers clarity) the guild can have for its raids. The rescent "fix" to char and item power regen will make it even better.

I'm just curious.  What exactly is the power per tick value of Insight at Master 1? <div></div>

I have Master 1 SA and it is currently 56/tick and still growing.  <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I paid 1P for it and made them bring it to me for that price.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are far too few Illusionists <U>48plus and still playing</U> to yield 20P IMO.  But I would love to have it if I did not have SA and would easilly drop 3-4P,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Adept 3 Insight gives 53 per tick, so if as reported above Master 1 Insight gives 60 per tick at level 50, the difference is . . . let me see . . . er . . . uh . . .  7 per tick <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Even after spells are revamped the Master probably won't be any more than the current +14% more effective than the Adept 3.</P> <P>20pp? Seems to me it isn't worth more than, say, (price of a Ruby + 50g) x 2.</P> <P>And then there's the concern that after the expansion it might well be worth far less.</P> <P>But then there's no accounting for ego . . . maybe someone would actually pay 20pp for it.</P> <P> </P>

Don't take JUST the effect into consideration.. same with armor.. sometimes things that are marginally better than the second best thing, they sell for a LOT more - why?  Because they're the best of the line, or they're very rare, or many other variables.

Yes that spell is really good to have and it is not an often drop as you make it out to be. I would not pay 60 plt for that... but someone would that is a fact. Insight is the best spell for our class because is it a breeze with int, wiz. So, you do what you think is right on it.

target a raiding guild and accept no less than 10 pp.  i would offer it at 20 pp. period. <div></div>

<P>Depending on your server, and the number of Insight Master 1's that have dropped in the past, 20 plat would be easy to get.</P> <P>A top raiding guild, who has an illusionist without Master 1 Insight, would grab it in a moment, the spell would be invaluable to that guild's illusionist. However, if by some freak of luck, Insight master 1 has dropped 10 times in the past, well clearly the top guilds probably won't need a copy and you may only end up selling it for 5plats.</P> <P>Start at 20 and see what happens.</P> <P> </P> <P>Lyle</P> <P>Coercer -- Dark Horizon, Guk</P> <P> </P>

Arent master 3s coming with the expansion? Anyone seen a spell list for 50+? What if there is an insight upgrade coming to us (and you know there has to be) I would think that giving up all the money I have for one spell right now might not be a good idea. <div></div>
