So, anybody else give this a shot yet?If so, did you fair any better than I?As a Lv50 Illusionist, they have me going up against 4 down-arrow Lv51 mobs in a single encounter. I have tried root, mez, mez, whack. Then I tried dot, encounter mez, get hit, cancel dot, mez, mez, mez, mez, but they just hit too hard. I just don't see how we have any possiblity of taking these things out.Anybody got any other suggestions on how to do this zone? Obviously, speechless is out of the question as the mobs are Lv51, otherwise I would have used that in my strategy, and hey who knows, maybe I would have won.Well I gave it one more shot.I sent my pet in, aoe mez'd, got hit, pet starts tanking(and very POORLY I might add) I manage to barely take out that first one get everybody mez'd, but of course i'm down to 20% hp and power. So what do I do, hope I don't die, instead I say screw it, and leave. What an impossible to solo zone for chanters. I just wanted to say, thank you SoE for the worst "solo" zone ever.

Yes, I'm totally [Removed for Content] about this zone/adventure pack and have already ranted in the splitpaw pack forums. The level 42 SOLO mobs in there were hitting me for average 200 (400 specials) and have a bloody ton of hps ,where normal 42 solo mobs hit for 40-90ish. I just hate that they tell us it's a solo zone, but then make it unsoloable. Who the heck wants to take a group in to kill solo mobs?

All this gives me is further proof that there isn't a single illusionist on SOE's QA or dev team. It's utterly impossible for our class to have this many soloing issues if someone there actually knew what it was like. Heck, I was in a group today and almost cried at how pitiful my dps was compared to EVERYONE else...and I'm a mage! If we can't kill mobs like everyone else,...fine, just give us another method of being equal ..some utility something or other. At least in EQ1 there were other classes with issues soloing...here I feel like it's mostly just us. ..lol.

I have trouble with the old instance zones. Same thing, trios at the start mixed with a duo near by. Four of five tries I got both, then on fifth try I got the trio but had zero room to maneuver so had to zone out.

I think the real issue is how underpowered we are solo. If they made a zone easy enough for an Illusionist, a Pally or nearly any other class would run thru it in five minutes and rack up Major exp and loot. On thier boards they would be saying this is soo easy it is a waste of programming.

I don't know what the solution is, but it starts with upping our relative power and ability to solo, roots, stuns and DPS. Or give us a real pet that can hold aggro for a few minutes so we can work our [Removed for Content] magic on the rest. Really, both are needed.

Sorry to say but for my paladin this zone is indeed easy . But after playing a chanter I think playing any other char is easy. It's a shame because it's a nice zone to level / loothunt while being LFG. If you really want you can level here to 50 without to much probs and making 5 ish gold/ hour.

Since I know the true 'power' of my chanter I didn't even try this zone. Best would do it in a duo team, then you have indeed less exp/loot but you can clean zone way faster. Of course you need find good soul who is willing to drag you with him.

Windekind 46 Illusionist

Windebries 43 Paladin
