Can we please add a break message for the Illusionists. Some people just don't get the hint to not break the Enchanters Mez it really screws up a Raid when people don't listen. After constant instuction on not to use AOE spells and do things, people still don't get the point. Can we get a message to tell the Enchanters (illusionists) on who breaks it?? This was a great feature in EQ1 and needs to be implemented into EQ2.

Message Edited by MasterMerlin on 03-25-2005 08:59 PM

This is something that we have been complaining about since beta. If they havent put it in yet, they probably never will. Yes, it is frustrating, but as long as you make it clear to the group that you are trying to mezz (macros really help), its not a major deal. I rather they fix our spells first and up our DPS.

Man, I hope they do put it in! I never played EQ1, so I have no experience of mezzing in that game, but this would surely be a small addition to the code to implement. At least we wouldn't have to moan at the whole group, or watch the other players like hawks to see who's the person who doesn't understand mezz. There's nothing worse than being in a group where you're never sure when you mezz that add if someone will keep attacking it. It's a shame to leave groups just because one person doesn't get it imo.

Pretty please Devs! Just a little line in the combat text that we can filter down to to say who broke it!

I had never really thought about it myself but it would help me know who to explain things to but I usually just tell the group to stay on one target and I will handle the adds. I do plan on doing a /feedback on this today now though

Unfortunately, SOE feels it has to dole out improvements to us, that way as time goes on they can keep us interested. So instead of creating a game that actually learned from eq1, and putting in all the necessary amenities, they start us back at ground zero. Of course as time goes on they will add this and fix that, even tho these should have been things in game from day one. Illusionists will eventually get more illusions, messages will be added for this or that, spells will be improved. But we have to wait for it, and let them spoon fed us slowly. Pretty pathetic.

Message Edited by Desdemona on 03-26-2005 09:45 AM
