The recast time of it is where i have problems.....If the recast timer is the same as it was before, this spell will still remain at about the same level of usefullness for me as it was before.</DIV>

<P>Yes, this is definately a fix for Coercors. It does us no good and I wont be rushing to put it back on my hotbars. Its a huge fix, since now they can ae mezz, then follow it up with their regular mezzs for CC. We are stuck with our 2 mezzes for now. </P> <P>No mention of Illusionists in any part of this patch...not a good sign.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Noticed that if I have group invis up and one person takes falling damage, they are the only ones to come un-invised... prolly related to this.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Myrid</DIV>
<P>This could still be a boon to us. At master level, Phantasmal Grandeur has a duration of 24 seconds, with a 20 second recast. That should allow an illusionist to keep an encounter mezzed, while his mates work on one critter at a time. It's not as useful as the coercer version, but it still sounds nice.</P> <P>I haven't actually tested this, though. I use this spell so rarely, I can't recall if the recast time begins when the spell is cast, or when it expires. If it's the latter, then the spell is still quite weak.</P> <p>Message Edited by Oghier on <span class=date_text>03-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:01 PM</span>

Because of this fix, I finally was able to effectively use Phantasmal Splendor tonight. It was on the EL boatride, with the extra-large groups of easy mobs. I opened with my two AoE dmg spells and followed with Phantasmal Splendor to keep them all mezzed while my AoE's recharged. Worked quite well (finally). The 20 second recast doesn't really bother me. I think it's mostly useful to give the tank a good 15 seconds to regain aggro in large group encounters when things go haywire. <div></div>

an important thign to note about the ae mez change is that even if all the mbos you mezed wake up, you'll remained stunned for the duration. unless of course you cancel it off your maintained window. Easy enough I suppose but it could cost you a few valuable moments if you're not aware it needs to be done. Also if you happen to be on a large raid ( so all 30 slots are filled) forget about it. <div></div>

<DIV>I can see the illusionist staying stunned while at least 1 mob is still mezzed by this spell, but if the mez is broken on all the mobs then this should unmez the illusionist as well. The good news is now we can mez ourselves by accident again lol. I went to switch bars to cast a different spell, did not notice my bar had not switched, cast phantasmal on the mob we were killing and even tho the mob was immediately unmezzed, i stayed mezzed for the duration. This needs a fix and soon.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Yes, it even mezzes us if all the mobs resist the spell. Not unworkable around tho, just need to keep an eye out for the 'resisted' message when using it, and cancel it from the maintained spells window if so.</P> <P>A little irritating, but hardly a dealbreaker imo, and it's still x10 more useful than it was before. I'm sure it'll get fixed sooner or later if enough of us /feedback or /bug...</P>

<DIV>On the other hand, this works in our favor. If you mez an encounter and then you take a point of damage, that encounter mez will stick while you are now unmezzed. I have had this happen several times.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And for when all the mobs resist or break mez or whatever, just cancel the mez in your maintained spells window now that you can see up to 30 (?) spells in it. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
