Just made level 20 and got flamed for trying alacrity

your friends are.. well... idiots. sorry about that, but alacrity has no negative effects, and overwrites no other spell. Tbh i dont understand why they objected so negatively. true, haste only has a marginal effect in this game, but thats no reason to not cast it.. every bit helps. unless they thought casting haste would interfere with your other duties.

<DIV>To the best of my knowledge in 48 levels of experience haste has never interfered with any cleric buffs. Not even inquisitor buffs which include haste. </DIV>

A lot of people I party with are 'speed' addicts, asking me for my haste buffs. Never had a problem with them cancelling or overwriting other spells... unless those spells are -mine- or belong to another Enchanter.If they're worried about you overwriting a -cleric's- spells, then they're wrong, I'm sorry. It's not 100% useful, but it does help -- a lot of damage that tanks and scouts do is due to them hitting the mob with their weapons, not just damage specials. And haste is what speeds those delays on their weapons up.Surianka36 IllusionistBefallen

<DIV>FYi upgrading haste spells seems to have a minimial effect on the amount of haste given in my experience. so their complaints about it needing to be upgradign are also not valid. </DIV>
