Jus makes no sense why SOE would make us take a GOD that does fire Damage when us warlocks are Poison and Disease Based. We have very few fire based spells and his miracles and blessings dont do us that good... Can anyone tell me a better GOD to take and why we must be restricted to always havng to pretend we are wizards

I allways felt Quellious held promise, the cloak at the end is a de-aggro item, plus one of the blessings is a 400pt power pool. You don't have to go with any if you don't want to, frankly, the deities are not going to "make or break" your character.
Message Edited by Hammarus on 12-11-2006 11:13 AM

Yup, I went Quellious and I wouldnt change it to date.. Power tricks and the cloak are all a boon for a Qyenos based warlock.

Don't forget about Inno for the evil warlocks. The pet you get gives you +13 int and there are some incredibly handy miracles for raid situations. After a Chel'Drak run a couple nights ago, I always keep up the miracle w/the mezz followed by a 10k dd. There are a few other miracles that are incredibly handy for raid situations. Plus, Inno is just cooler than most of the other gods.

Inny is a good choice for evil warlocks (or evil anythings), and Quel isn't too bad for us good types.

Sol Ro does have options for non heat based casters. We aren't excluded from having anything useful from Sol Ro. The pet and the cloak are both worthwhile.

But yes, I hope to see Bertox in the next expansion.

The Cloak of Ro is trash for me.

My Apo does 3 points more damage per tick instead of 1560-> 1563.

With all other Spells it is the same one. Rift does not profit at all from this cape

How is that quellious cloak. I personally found it worthless. It hardly ever proced, and even when it did I could only viably cut the hate gain from a spell that I never would gain agro from using anyway. 5 seconds is really not alot to be able to react to. Personaly the T7 cloak with ft3regen3 30hpmana is the best cloak you can get.

Ok, pardon the question, but I have been a sporadic player who is only now slipping back into the bad habit of living vicariously through my 'toons, but how do you go about choosing a deity (and what are the side benefits of doing so)? Do I enter some temple and shout "Hallelujah" and Pentecostal fire would drop from heaven, or as I would more likely suspect, are there some series of semi-related quests I need to undertake to be considered one of the "Chosen"?

Where you start your deity quest line depends on which deity you are going after. But yes, it's a quest series. Each quest unlocks a set of belssings/miracles which you can use faction with that deity to purchase. You also get an alter, an improved alter, a pet that gives you +stats when it's out, and a cloak that has some decent bonuses. The specifics depend on your deity again, and there are plenty of other threads listing those.
