<DIV>Hi everyone, im a new player/warlock (i have a 23 beserker but i was told to make an alt for crafting/rested XP reasons).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I originaly wanted to stay away from the cloth casters on a PVP server simply because i lag hard and well with my zerker i can at least get a hit in before im beat down =). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyways, i found that my lag is a bit better in the bigger areas (Antonica, Common Lands) ect. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So with that, im working more on my warlock now as my DPS way outdoes my beserker (still luv my zerker tho.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyways to the point i guess.  I have some decent equipment as i got lucky lastnight PVPing and got a lot of cash =P...guess someone forgot to bank! Anyways with the money i got i went and semi twinked my guy out by getting Adept III and since im a scholar i made myself some apprentive IV. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So i got my spells down, a good staff, decent armor and a friend crafted me some jewlery.  So at lvl 14 im feeling pretty powerful (for my level) im just curious if you guys could assist me in what direction i should be going? (for my lvl 14 Master II spell i got the PBAOE DOT) I also got my first AA pt which i quickly placed into the first line in Sorc (Minion or whatever).  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, What spells should i be working to master first? any specific items that a caster MUST have! Basically i love playing the game but i feel i have no general direction. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've looked on the boards and really havent found much info so i figured id just ask here.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks very much in advance =).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Kasnak the Froglock Warlock.</DIV>

<div>Not sure about PVP...but I can conjecture based on PVE.For spell upgrades:1. Get your roots sorted first. You can't kill anything if something is beating on your dainty cloth covered freshly slaughtered corpse.(I would expect for PVP that you also add stifles and interrupts to this list)2. Then get your damage spells upgraded (NB. Because you are PVP...i would expect that you want to fire off a couple of small DoTs rather than one large nuke because of interrupts.  That means you want to get your DoTs up before nukes)3. Finally get all those other spells which you barely use sorted if you have spare cash.Equip:Int, Int, Int.  Oh I forgot to mention, Int. - Int increases dmg and power pool for 'locks.  Once you hit a high amount of int, start looking for resists etc.AAsUp to your playstyle, but I would expect hastenings and crits would be the right sort of things to go for here.  Deal the most dmg in the least poss time.At lvl 14, you aren't going to be able to sort your gear before you out level it unless you turn off xp/twink.</div>

<DIV>I play a PvP lock, lemme help ye.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>M2 choices, ALWAYS your single target nuke. ALWAYS.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for your spell upgrades...root is always great. Your encounter resist debuff BOOJAH for that beast. You will end up doing over the spells suggested dmg almost every time if your resist debuff lands.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Gear, INT first STA second. Good thing about being a caster, is all your jewlers have int sta and wis on them thats hp power resist and dmg...pretty nice if ya ask me. AA lines, EoF aa's pwn the sorc tree ones so for now I would stick with the hastening line of EoF then move over to KoS when you are satisfied with dmg increase.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you DO wanna use sorc line (get the pet at least) I would suggest Str and Agi, or Str and Wis. (Freehand is nice but I dont like the loss of stats especially at lower levels)</DIV>

<DIV>The reason I say always your single targets for PvP is because more often than not you will run into one or two people.... Let's say lvl 24....just got your M2 AE takes 4-5 secs to cast lol........ on one person? Then again let's say you got your single target with a 2-3 second cast....roughly the same dmg.... All in all it's better for spiking. I am not saying that Warlocks should not grab higher Group nukes.... but for the M2 the single target will be much more useful.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It is however to roll a group in a matter of 10 seconds with the AE's but sadly you get too many runners in the game..</DIV>
