View Full Version : Good/Neutral Warlocks Disadvantaged in EoF?

<DIV>I play a Qeynosian Warlock because of the neutral nature to the class.  Looking through the selection of gods coming out it seems like I am going to be at a disadvantage.  I am guessing this is so because the only appropriate god is Solusek Ro and he is a god of magic and fire.  The magic part is fine, but wizards will find any fire benefits more usefull.  I am already upset that the bone-clasped girdle, the proc earrings and most other proc items do fire damage.  It isn't a big deal raiding b/c other classes debuff for you, but I just find it a little bit discouraging.  Basically this is another post stating that I hope Warlocks don't get the short end in the upcomming expansion.</DIV><p>Message Edited by dmitya on <span class=date_text>10-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:00 PM</span>

never know, quellious might be good for deaggro and mana regen since the level 65 mana regen in EQ1 was voice of quellious i think so that might be a good one.  have to just wait and see though how it works out.i am sure warlocks will get some love with the AAs though.  i see that being the big way SOE will kind of "nerf" the good classes by giving them crappy ones and give the classes a little further behind the curve some really cool AAs so that they catch up.  well here is to hoping anyway.<div></div>

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the new warlock AAs suck hardcore.  But don't feel bad, all the new AAs suck hardcore. <div></div>

When/if you sign up for beta you are bound by the NDA.

Am I providing evidence to support this claim? No. I'm not even in Beta. </P> <P>Does my belief that they won't be worth taking the time to grind mean that I talked to someone that did break the NDA? No. It just means that based on the way AA's work in general, and the new class specific AA's in SWG, along with our existing AA's, the new stuff won't save the class. </P> <P>Anything less than an overhaul of our dps vs aggro management falls short of my expectations, and therefore sucks.</P> <P>The real question is why your panties are in a knot over him possibly breaking the NDA. The mods and devs take care of that stuff, and you don't appear to be one. As an average gamer I'd love for some information to be leaked to get a head start.<BR></P>

It really doesn't matter, though i am curious why people are trying to flame me for this.  My guess, is they are either in beta and upset that someone who isn't in beta has inside information when no, i didn't receive it from a guildmate. Who cares?  We are all visiting this board with 1 common goal, to fix our broken class.  Now, if word gets out to the Warlock community, MAYBE, just MAYBE, we can stir the pot enough to have SOE possibly slip in a last minute change that might actually boost our class.  But it seems the only concern here is that someone "might" be breaking the NDA.  I read the NDA, i'm not breaking it in any way by stating my opinion, without even giving the slightest hint of what is to come.  Look at our AAs now, 50 levels and the best setup for DPS is 8% base damage and 24% dps increase on 1 spell every minute, or manashield and a boatload of mit if you go battlemage.  Do you think there will be anything class defining with the new AAs?  Really doubt it. Step off that high horse, and get back to what we should all be doing, trying to get our class fixed before we are all either Wizards or groupless. <div></div>

<DIV>There isn't a big enough spoon to stir this pot of crap. There hasn't been a dev post in the warlock forum in over a year. We are an abandoned, hated class without a hat, a hope, or a prayer. What was once a great class has been so systematically abused and screwed over that they should just delete the damned thing and let us become something else.</DIV>

<DIV>lol you're all a bunch of whyners :smileyhappy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i love my warlock as he is, and even if we get less attention as wizards, unless when it comes to the nerfing, then we're allways under full attention (as in LU13), we do the best damage in AE in the game, we have some nice AA's, i think, and even though we don't have a class hat as 1 of the only classes, (proving we are a bit abandonad,) i think were not as bad as some of you say..are we?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>what's wrong with our new AA's anyways, and more importantly, why the HELL do you guys compare everything with wizards? if you want everything to be the same as it is in the wizards class, go wizard for gods sake, then all this whyning will be over too (untill the next generation of 70 warlocks who don't know anything better to do as to whyne on forums about how abandonad they are).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>hope someone will agree with me, if not, oh well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>that's all, cya!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(and please, if you don't agree with what i'm saying here, don't go attacking me on my language rather as on my statements, english is not my native language so my wrtiting isn't as good as it can be.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
