I picked up the master version once I hit 48 and although I like the added dps, I was under the assumption that pets would automatically change targets in grp encounters. Since I have not seen the limited pet do this, I guess it does not apply to physical dots or is this a bug?

My understanding is the "pet" is basically cast on the specific target that you have when you cast it, as opposed to the whole target encounter. So I think it's "working as intended." I actually rather like it this way, because I don't want the silly thing breaking my roots on other mobs in the encounter.

I think I saw something, somewhere, about them changing another class' equivalent "limited pet" spell so that it would attack the next target if the initial target died. Not 100% sure on that, could have been just a dream. If it makes you feel better, that other "limited pet" has a 5 minute recast timer, as opposed to Netheros.

~

Mistress Liloo, 49 Warlock

The spell u mean is Dark Infestion. It spaws 3 dumbfire pet which go on attacking the rest of the encounter once the initial target is dead. This is a L55 spell as far as I remember and still worth using at L70. They are especially useful if ur group got add because they attack in open AE. After LU24 this spell is one of my favorites.

3x ~200dmg every 4 seconds for 24seconds = ~3000 extra dmg in open AE!

More than worth of updating to A3 or M1.

Hope that made things a bit clearer.

Nachricht bearbeitet von chaos overload am 06-19-2006 06:26 AM
