<DIV>Another change to this spell that wasn't mentioned before was now when the broodlings spawn DI is taken off the mobs so you lose a Dot for a swarm pet that will be killed when it gets AE'd.. I don't like this change and would rather have broodlings spawning then this.</DIV>

It's a pity that when they "fixed" this spell, they nerfed it too. The dot used to do so much nice damage. Since I never have problems spawning the broodlings now... the dot is going to disappear pretty quick <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Bye bye nice DI dot. This is, of course, for raids that i'm talking about, since almost every mob has an aoe that kills them. <div></div>

I think it's better, because 3 dumbfire pets nuking > cheap DOT. The respawning nonsense needed to stop, your dark broodlings do much more damage than the DOT.

So Dark Infestation has reached live and the DI dot still disappears when the broodlings proc. <i>Is this a bug or intended? </i>It is not in the patch notes either. For the love of Norrath this better be a bug. If it is intended I cannot imagine why you would change something like that and make a spell useless on any mob with an ae. It makes no sense at all.<div></div>

<P>I for one despised the way the kept proccing when the spell was up, looks like they chose the easy way to fix it. By dropping the spell when they proc it stops them proccing again, only thing is we then loose the DoT effect for the remainder of the spell. It would be nice if they worked on this a bit more and kept the DoT effect after proc, or they lowered the reuse to 30 seconds so we can atleast joust the Broodlings with AE calls.<BR><BR>After playing with the spell for a while though I love the way the broodlings run from mob to mob <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, speedy little buggers now and exactly the way I envisioned them working when I first got the spell.<BR>Also they stay up for the full duration not when the encounter dies and follow you around nuking even though nothing is there. We are not amused by clever attempts to by-pass the language filter, and posts like that will be removed.

<P>I love it. Also from what I noticed (last night was our status farming night) so we did a quick Courts run and my broodlings lived through most mobs ae's with exception of the black queen.</P> <P>It looks weird seeing a green maintained spell on my bar, but it's all good. I like that the spell is immediately effective. Only thing I'd like is a quicker recast.</P> <P> </P> <P>Thanks Dev's for finally fixing this spell, it works great.</P>

<DIV>Based on the spell description I think the current version is working liek it was intended to since it was introduced. Unfortunately, they increased the recast time by 50% and decreased the broodlings damage (looks to be about 33%-50%) and the dot is removed when broodlings proc so we loose about 1,000 damage there too. I do not yet know if the increase in usability of the broodlings make up for the loss of damaage from the other nerfs yet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On anotehr note, I love that they took the Nil Crystal requirment off of the Pillaging line, I wish they did the same for Netheros as well. Netheros and Dark Infestation are the only way Warlocks can do decent single target DPS. With the cyrstal requirment I rare bother with netheros just cause it is a bother to get crystals. The change to our HP/Power curse helps generate crystals faster so that does help. I just see no reason to even require crystals in the first place as the spells that need them are no more powerfull then equivalent spells that do not.</DIV>
