View Full Version : New Betrayal - If possible will you change?
Assuming neutral classes that betray have the ability to change to the opposite class and with the penalty of having all your spells change to Apprentice 1.Is anyone planning on changing to Wizard? I'm a 70 end-game Warlock with 3 pieces of relic (Chest/Legs/Shoulder) gear that I will lose in addition to my Masters and Adept IIIs. Even with this loss I’m actually considering making the change if it's available.Just wondering if anyone else will be.-70 Warlock on AB<div></div>

I'd quit before changing my class to wizard.

<DIV>I don't know that it would be wise to switch to Wizard. For 1, While it may appear they are better off then us currently, who's to say what the next LU is to bring in terms of class changes. Though I guess if things improve on the warlock front you could always go back. I might actually consider it if I could switch to a melee class. It seems that at the most fundemental levels of the game melee classes have an inate advantage over pure casting classes. I don't think the dev's will ever be able to address that imbalance. But I have no intentions of making the app 1 sacrifice to swap to Wizard. I will say though if I had the opportunity to go back and change my choice at the beginning when I was doing the sorc to lock quest, If the choice then was lock AOE or Wiz single target I would have chosen wizard. You know whats funny, is that everybody I asked, I mean everybody said pick wizard, back then. Though whats funny is the thing that I was torn. At the time they were essentially the same class with differant specialties. (cold, heat vs poi, dis). I made the choice over being able to turn people into vermin was much cooler then having a cat follow you around. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Firstly --Blackguard stated that the Test Update notes would be INCORRECT this week since he is away at E3 and for whatever reason cannot update them via long distance ... lol. So who the hell knows what's right and what's not.Secondly --Switching classes is useless. Eventually warlocks will have their turn and suddenly everyone will scream murder that they are getting nerfed and you will see 100 new warlocks appear. Every class gets the axe at some point or another. I've been playing this game since launch and believe me -- every dog has its day. That will never change.Did any of you actually play a warlock class at LAUNCH? We were so pathetic it wasn't even funny. SOE gave us a huge boost and guess what? Everyone and his mother was a warlock. Wizards were actually the minority before LU13 hit. And then LU13 came and suddenly everyone hated their warlock and rolled a necromancer. LOLI mean. It never ends. Stick with what you love to play.<div></div>

Changes happen all the time and this won't be the last. Play the class you like, not the fotm.<div></div>
