<div>didn't see posts about this -- that might be because race is eventually trivial as you get into the higher levels, I've seen people note that in other forums.</div><div> </div><div>fooling around with the caster class I made an erudite caster for 5-10 levels, just having fun. one thing I learned is the panic spell resists can cause, and especially a resist at the wrong time. </div><div> </div><div>looking around I see the high elf has that +5 wisdom at the cost of int, seeing as it's downtime I can't really test stuff out and even if I could I think it might be hard to measure with the little information I have.</div><div> </div><div>so what do you all think? would I notice much the +wis and the -int? like I said the ill timed resists while playing the erudite where kind of rampant in my opinion.</div>
<div></div>Generally by endgame the starting stats as well as the racial modifiers wont mean much. One that I would recommend is Gnome and I believe the other is Ratonga, there may be more. Each of these classes have a racial trait that instantly reduces aggro on a single target. These are nice emergency spells to get a mob off you, but due to the recast time, it is far from a steady source of aggro reduction.

<div>Probably dont matter - I prefer erudites for +int bonus as well as sence aura racical ability, second choice probably would be ratonga for racical trait with agro reduction</div>

<div></div><div>Me I prefer Eruidite, just because he looks like death worn over from dealing with all the poisons and disease!</div><div> </div>

<div></div>*shrug* I went barbarian because a) rare combo (I'm usually the only non-anon barb mage logged on for my entire server, though there is a high 40's as well, conj or nec I think); & b) he looks darned hawt in a dress! <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
<div></div><div>I play a troll warlock ... yes it is different .. and yes I give up a lot of intelligence. However, I do not feel that it has had a huge impact on gameplay (the dervs do a good enough job on impacting that). Solo'ing I never seem to run out of power. Raiding, depending on my role, rarely affects my power pool. The difference for me is if I put auto attack on ... I am able to add some nice additional melee damage, natural regeneration (spell/ability), and increase in health. The foulness of a troll just seemed a natural fit for this class.</div>
