<div>On Raid mobs that arent highly resistant to poison/disease spells what spells do you guys cast and in what order. I'm trying to maximize my dps in raids without pulling aggro from AE's on the group mobs. I'm not sure if anyone has posted exactly what spells they use and in what order but if noone has posted this before here is the place to start posting.</div><div> </div><div> </div>

beeing a good raid warlock is far beyond clicking combo xyz you read in forums... it's a question of beeing able to fit your casts to the current situation. anyway - there is one base rule on cast order:always debuff first & keep them uphaving your dot's running alltime isn't a bad choice mostly too...<div></div>

<div></div><div></div>First - you can't do maximum DPS and not gain aggro. If you are - then you're not doing max DPS. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Ok. You can however do very good DPS without gaining aggro more than once.Assuming you are raiding a <i>named encounter with at least 2 peons and the MA has targeted the named</i> as primary ...I start by casting Corrupt Gift + Anarchic Maelstrom. I wait for the Gift proc to run out. This allows others to establish their precedence on the hate ladder. But since I have my procs going (assume Nihilsm for the tank and Virulent Grasp for any scouts in my own group) the numbers are still ticking out for the other party members and I'm not just sitting useless. Additionally you could try casting the two Curse spells at this time. For the next stage I cast Dark Nebula. This is a nice little interruption for the raid in general and doesn't do enough overall damage to gain attention. After the interrupt is done I cast Devastation. I wait for it to tick out all five rounds and then I wait until the stun wears off before casting anything else. If I try to cast prior to that time I generally end up on the floor. Now assuming that there is still more than just the primary target standing I and nothing is rooted or mezzed and there is no danger of other aggro around - I will cast Boundless Fury. This is small enough per-tick that it generally will not draw aggro (but you need to be careful when you have classes in the raid who draw high poison and disease debuffs becuase then this spell can be powerful enough and tick out fast enough that it can get you some hurt). And at the end is a nice little stifle effect. At this point I will usually take a quick breather and cast something like Vulian Intrusion on the primary target [named]. Of course this may or may not have any effect depending on what the target is. So also at this time you could cast the curese spells again. Or you could use Ghastly Contract ... or Endow Energy ... or Shadowed Pillaging. So on. The point is - don't be casting another DPS spell yet.If there are still multiple mobs standing I will finally cast Absolution. Casting this earlier in the fight typically draws me mad hate so I tend to avoid it early on.Then I assess the situation - if there are multiple targets remaining or if the raid occurs in waves (Rahotep for instance) I will repeat the above. If it is only the primary target standing I will cast Netheros and follow it with Dark Infestation + Shadowed Pyre + Scourge of Shadows. Then I will cast Aura of Pain + Soul Blister + Nil Distortion + Thwart.Ghastly Contract + Shadowed PillagingRepeat. That's just me. And of course it's very situational. That outline assumes a Paladin equal to my level has Amends on me and is the MT. And it's not foolproof. I do tend to die once per raid. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div><p>Message Edited by Vicontessa on <span class="date_text">02-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">12:49 AM</span></p>

<div>The only way to ever master any class is to go out there and play it.</div><div>Find your own "xyz" system that fits in with your group mates and mobs.</div><div>Make sure you can handle ANY situation, set up more than 1 "xyz".</div><div>Make sure you can solo. If the fight is a groupI target an off targetCorrupt Gift just pre pullIf the fight is going to not have power issues, I wil add Netherous Realm on pullMA makes Debuff callMalestromConcussiveMA Makes attack call half way through Devastation cast (shh, dont tell anyone)DevastationNil AbsolutionDark NebulaSwitch back to MAs target after the start of casting Dark NebulaSoul BlisterAura of EmptinessNil DistortionBoth DOTsNow I just hit every one of those spells above as soon as it is available for recast, (especially Aura of Emptiness and Soul Blister) until it gets down to a single mob left, then just use the single target ones + Devastation. Each spell is cast with no wait between, and I almost never get aggro.<div></div>

<div>Depends on situation.....</div><div>IF you have MT zerk IF you have troubadur + paladin in your group THEN you can go full offence</div><div>Start attack with Netherous Realm and advance with Dark Nebula then Corrupeted Gift, Concurssion and Nil Absolution Devastation and after this you Dark Nebula should be ready again for use - that's against AoE targets</div><div>Single target</div><div>Gift + Netherous + Netherous Realm + Dark Investation + Vullian Intrusion + Concurssion + Devastation + Aura of Emptiness + Null Distortion</div><div>Generally speaking you should use Concurssion every time it ready to cast. Same goes for Dark Investation, Devastation and Null Distortion. Try keep Netherous dumpfire pet up as much as possible... Master 1 NL do as much as 350 melee damage per hit on undebuffed target and lasts 45s. Always use NR as much as you can as well as Corrupted Gift - they add massive chunk of damage</div>

<div>Depending on the Mob but normaly,</div><div>Curse if the mob is a hard one</div><div>Mailstrom</div><div><div>De-Agro Spell</div><div>Null Distortion</div></div><div>Broodlings</div><div>Aura of Emptness to get them to spawn</div><div>Other 2 dots</div><div>Nukes</div><div>Once Broodlings spawned I cast</div><div>Corupt Gift</div><div>Nethros realm</div><div>Followed by Nukes and dots as they refresh.</div><div> </div><div>This is my normal DPS for a single target. I normaly only lose to rangers<when they have there 10k attack up> and occationaly a necro.</div><div> </div><div>For multiple targets it totaly depends on my group and if we are using a zerker tank or not. But the broodlings on 3 mobs can do 10-20k damage in 24 secs.</div><div> </div><div>Highest DPS for a x4 was 8500 in poets. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div> </div><div> </div>
