<div></div>I figure its because they were missing for so long, that they have a serious case of separation anxiety, and just wanna be with their mommy or daddy. I even tried sending out their pal netheros, so they have a friend to play with , out by the mob, but that wasnt successful. But i think its time for our broodlings to grow up and get out there. They really bug me, hanging onto my skirts or pants all the time. Darn anklebiters!

<div></div><div></div>I parsed the dark craplings for several hours again tonight even stayed pretty close to mob(nowhere close to max spell range).......out of about 20 spawns they did ONE HIT for 247 dmg(int at 430) I was very pleased with the dark infestation DOT though I did not realize but it is by far our best DOT at this point I kinda want SOE the trash the whole proc and increase the damage per tick about 100 points...seems like a fair tradeoff to me :smileyindifferent:<p>Message Edited by VeraIkonica on <span class="date_text">01-26-2006</span><span class="time_text">07:47 PM</span></p>

<div></div><div>I like the Dark Buttlings. They give the mob something else to hit other than netheros.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Oh wait, they don't move.... Nevermind. They're just fart nuggets.</div><p>Message Edited by Darkcreator on <span class="date_text">01-26-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:44 PM</span></p>

<div>My broodlings were doing Area of Effect damage today for 3-400 each of their casts, the yellow numbers were flying. They are working GREAT, but they just aren't moving.</div>

This is one of my favorite spells. Broodlings are working if you stand near the mobs when you cast them, make em run like they are supposed to and they're awesome! Best spell ever.

<div></div>well the range is like 5 meters so you literally have to stand right next to mob for them to attack the DOT however does on average about 2000 damage screw the broodlings they only worked a few weeks since their introduction to EQ2 and aparently SOE felt they were overpowered. I like the DOT and without the craplings I dont have to worry about them aggroing some random mob and I can use the kick [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] DOT whenever I want to....I was all for getting broodlings back but after going over a lot of parses lately I say good riddence to them.

<div>I parsed them tonight, 150 dps single target. A lot more multiple target, they were AEing for 270-400ish.</div><div> </div><div>Best...spell...ever.</div><div> </div><div>Keep up the good work SOE!</div><div> </div><div>Make them move!</div>

Admittedly, even when they weren't broken, it wasn't a spell i use alot. But after about an hour of fighting i said, what the hey? Let em loose and see what they can do. This was after a couple hours of farming eyes in silent city. Most mobs were 58-60, epic x4. About half were multiple target encounters, half single target. The multiple target encounters dies too quickly, so the broodlings were against single target encounters.. As you can see, broodlings not up that often, bet when they're up they can account for over 20% of our dps. Nice little boost for those tough encounters. </p><p>P.S. The broodling damage is in addition to my main damage, for those who aren't familiar with parses.</p><p>P.P.S. All my spells except thwart and dark infestation are at master I. <div>My broodlings can be up for a majority of the fight, just sucks having to stand so close to mobs to use them. 25% proc chance is huge.</div><div> </div><div>P.S., love the spell!</div>

Yeah the broodlings are awsome, tho wish they moved. The thing is once you get them spawned, remeber they help spawn themselve is you keep the spell up. Another hting is i know they proc the gift line so extra dmg there. I also beileve they proc the netheros realm line as well tho i havent done proper testing on this yet, either way there a large increase to our dps.<div></div>

<div>Also broodlings still don't stack so that kinda blows on raids that we have 4 warlocks on.</div>

<div>ok the broodlings do ae damage now, still don't move (as pointed out above) another issue though is they die when the mob they are on dies. What I would like to see is 3 things..</div><div> </div><div>1 make them move again..</div><div>2 make it so when they proc after they are out they don't get reset, just increase the time they are out there without the reset..</div><div>3 make it so they continue to ae after the mob they proc off is dead (until their timer runs out).</div><div> </div><div>I would say a better way to fix all this might be instead of having them spawn at our feet just have them spawn right on the mob. I mean the infestation is on the mob that is where they should come from right? Then we wouldn't really have to worry about the fact that they don't move, and you could make them a pbaoe pet that is rooted kind of like the fury or wizard ae pets. </div>

Think of them like a living DoT. Same as netheros. Point 2 I don't like, because sometimes they will proc just as I cast dark infestation and then proc again just before it drops. If it procs just as you cast dark infestation and don't proc again after that it's harder to keep them up during a longer fight. I'm usually counting on the little buggers to proc at the end of the dot so that I can get dark infestation up again before they disappear.</div>
<div></div><p>I think the same code used for the wizards and fury's pet was appiled to our broodling thus they stay where they are spawned. The diffrence is the wizard and fury can place the pets and our is a random (25%) proc and thus stick where we are standing when the spell procs. We just need our own code.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

You are most likely right in saying they won't make them stick around, but I don't think the programming would be that hard to pull off if they wanted to. Also point 2 isn't meaning to have them only proc the once, just saying when they proc AGAIN they shouldn't get interrupted in their cast and have to start over, simply increase the time they are out there as if they just spawned, but without the inconvenience of disappearing.</div>

<div></div><p>As they stand, the broodlings are target encounter ae not directional, so they don't need to be ontop of the mob.</p><p>As they don't move when they do spawn, then, they're casters, like us.</p><p>Wizzy, Fury, they can have their pets and their code, we'll have these little beauties.</p><p><img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Fun.</p>

As of yesterday, they still stay nicely in front of me when they appear, they don't bother to move forward. But, I also have this problem with Netheros now. He doesn't run to the mob, but just stands where he spawned :/Anyone else have this?<div></div>
